DAY 1

CALGARY/BANFF

After claiming your luggage upon arrival in Calgary, you will be met by a representative with your name on a Silversea sign. Representative will be outside Canada Customs (for guests arriving on international flights) and in the baggage claim area (for guests arriving on domestic Canadian flights). After meeting your representative you will be transferred to Banff, which is an approximately 70-mile (112-kilometre) drive. Upon arrival in Banff, proceed to your hotel for check-in. The balance of the day is spent at your leisure; you may opt to relax or explore your surroundings independently. A visit to the Banff Visitor Center, which features a uniquely original interpretive program, offers an outstanding overview of the area. Lunch and dinner are at your own expense.

DAY 2

BANFF

After breakfast at the hotel, the rest of the morning is spent at your leisure. After lunch on your own, depart for a sightseeing tour of Lake Louise, the 'Jewel of the Canadian Rockies'. Along with Moraine Lake, this area is designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Upon arrival, time is made available to take photos, explore their shoreline, and learn about the area's mountaineering history. Your tour concludes with a stroll to a viewpoint in the Valley of Ten Peaks for splendid views and photo opportunities overlooking Moraine Lake. Following your visit, transfer back to the hotel for dinner at your own expense.

DAY 3

BANFF/ KAMLOOPS

Depart for the morning transfer to the Banff train station, then board the Rocky Mountaineer for your two-day trip from the mountain town of Banff to Kamloops in the heart of British Columbia's interior. Your journey takes you through the spectacular scenery of the Rockies and mighty Fraser River, over mountain passes and through remarkable tunnels, along rocky lakeshores and across the ranchlands of the interior. Breakfast and lunch are served on the train. At the end of the day, arrive in Kamloops, British Columbia and transfer to your hotel for check-in. Dinner is at your own expense.

DAY 4

KAMLOOPS / VANCOUVER

After breakfast at the hotel, re-board the Rocky Mountaineer for the trip west to Vancouver. En route, pass through forests surrounded by the peaks of the Coast and Cascade Mountains, and the beautiful green fields of the Fraser Valley. Highlights include the steep slopes and rock sheds along the Thompson River, and the rushing waters of Hell's Gate in the Fraser River Canyon. Lunch is served on board the train. Upon arrival in Vancouver, transfer to your hotel for check-in. The evening is spent at your leisure. Dinner is at your own expense.

DAY 5

VANCOUVER

After breakfast at the hotel depart for a three hour sightseeing tour of Vancouver. The city is renowned for its splendid gardens, as well as the mountains, ocean forest and parklands surrounding the city. Following your tour the balance of the day is at leisure. Lunch and dinner are at your own expense.

DAY 6

VANCOUVER

Breakfast is served this morning at the hotel. You might consider spending your second day in Vancouver exploring some of the outlying sites on your own. A trip to Granville Island is a grand way to spend several hours. The Public Market there is always delightful or perhaps a jaunt to Whistler, where spectacular views of craggy peaks and icy glaciers can be seen from the gondola that in winter serves the world-class ski resort. Lunch and dinner are on your own account today.

VANCOUVER

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at the hotel. Conveniently, your Silversea ship is berthed directly across the street from the hotel (subject to change). Your luggage is collected and transferred to the pier and at approximately 1 p.m., you are welcomed to board.
