Day 1 - Arrive in Athens and depart for a guided visit to the Acropolis Site. Explore Benaki Museum in Athens and it's exquisite collection that travels you through 2000 years of Greek history. Enjoy a unique, behind the scenes visit, where a private collection, not open to the public, will surprise you. Get close, touch and learn from a curator, the story behind these ancients' artifacts. Welcome dinner arranged at hotel.
Day 2 - After breakfast, discover Delphi, considered by the ancient Greeks to be the physical & spiritual centre of the earth.
Day 3 - View the stunning Theatre of Epidaurus which dates to the 3rd century B.C. The limestone Theatre is known for its unique acoustics and for being the best preserved ancient theatre in Greece. During lunch, learn the secrets of Greek cuisine. Find yourself transported through the millennia amid the ruins of Mycenae, an UNESCO World Heritage site dating to the Bronze Age.
Day 4 - After breakfast, enjoy a short walking tour of Nafplion. Perched on a hilltop overlooking Nafplion and the Argolic Bay is the architecturally impressive Fortress of Palamidi. Stroll amid the fortress' solid stone walls to spot well-preserved bastions and monuments. Don't miss the opportunity to sail along the unforgettable Corinth Canal. This great feat of engineering separates the Peloponnese of the mainland. Tonight you will have a Farewell Gala with introduction to the local gastronomy.
Day 5 - After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your onward journey home.
All Land Programs require a minimum number of participants in order to operate as described. If this minimum number is not obtained, Silversea reserves the right to offer the program at a different rate based on private arrangements, or to cancel a specific departure.
