Your first port of call is always likely to be the blissful sand beaches that roll down to that trademark intense sea. Governor's Beach is a vision of pink sand, lapped by teal waters and a perfect rendering of your most lavish imagination. Submerge into the warm waters or shelter from the sun below soaring casuarina trees. Pillory Beach is another favoured option, nestled a little further to the north. Wade out along the shelf of sand, and part clear seawater that dances with twinkling sunlit patterns. Take your pick from the islands' blessing of beaches, or strap on a snorkel to float for hours amid the bright tones and curious displays of life below the surface. Graceful stingrays slide through the waters at Gibbs Cay, and you can wander among huge queen conch shells, strewn over its sands. Later, sunset will burn and boom above, as you taste fresh barbecued snapper, mahi-mahi and lobster platters. The stunning coral reefs that attract keen divers from across the globe have been far less welcoming to ships historically, and the wrecks that rest on the seabed attest to their hull-shredding credentials. Flashing out warnings, and standing tall since 1852, Grand Turk Lighthouse is a true icon of this island. Wild donkeys and horses may join you as you roam below the rusting, cast-iron tower, which gazes out protectively over the North Reef.

Grand Turk, Catamaran-Ride, Caribbean Sea

Embark your awaiting 78-foot (about 24-metre) catamaran at the pier, meet your friendly crew and begin your catamaran adventure. Set sail along the turquoise waters of the Caribbean Sea during the approximately 30-minute ride to the snorkelling location, the island's famous, approximately 7,000-foot-deep (about 2,133-metre-deep) sea wall. En route, take in breath-taking panoramic views of the coast and sea as the trade winds take you to your destination.

Sea Wall, Snorkelling, Coral, Tropical Fish, Marine Life, Private Beach, Swimming Sunbathing

Upon arrival at the sea wall, begin your guided, approximately 40-minute snorkelling session. Along the way, see a myriad of intricate coral, tropical fish and marine life. Following your snorkelling session, embark the catamaran and sail to a private beach located nearby. Upon arrival, anchor just offshore. Some free time is made available here to swim to the beach and relax on the sugary white sands, or simply enjoy the sun and seascapes on board the catamaran.

Return Sail, Refreshments, Caribbean Music

Following the swimming and snorkelling portion of the tour, relax with a refreshing rum punch or soft drink accompanied by rhythmic island tunes during the short ride back to the pier. Upon arrival, disembark the catamaran and commence the short walk back to the ship.

Coast to Coast – Grand Turk Safari

Travel by open island style, off-road vehicle while being taken on an adventure that covers Grand Turk from North to South and East to West.

Old Salinas, Duke Street, Front Street

At the pier, board your open-air island style vehicle and your journey of Grand Turk begins. Explore the southern off roads and old Salinas. From here, head along the west coast and historic Duke Street and Front Street famous for the old Bermudian-style architecture, historic churches and old cannons.

Little Bluff, North Creek

Your guide will point out the famous 7,000 foot drop-off creating the Grand Turk 'Wall' which is famous to divers from all over the world. Next, head north to 'Little Bluff' and 'North Creek' for a leisurely stroll along the beach and through the mangroves, which are an important part of Grand Turk's ecosystem.

Another stop on the northern end of Grand Turk is the historic light house. Be sure to bring your camera, the elevated views from the lighthouse ground of the Atlantic are spectacular. Continue your adventure along the east coast for more dramatic views of the coastline and picture perfect views of Gibbs Cay. The final leg of the adventure takes you right through the centre of Grand Turk and the town Salinas, which are a rich part of Grand Turk's history from the Salt trading years.

On your return south to the ship you have the opportunity to view the Friendship Capsule, a replica of the original space capsule carrying astronaut Lieutenant Colonel John Glenn that splashed down off the coast of Grand Turk in 1962.

Your crew will assist you in handling these beautiful sea animals.

Drive past Cockburn Town, the administrative and political capital of the Turks & Caicos Islands before reaching the Grand Turk Indigenous Horse Shelter where your tour on horseback begins.

Once mounted on your horse, proceed with a leisurely walk along the beach whilst enjoying views of the ocean. The guides unsaddle your mounts and prepare them for the swim. Take pictures of the oldest lighthouse in the Caribbean, and discover the original location where John Glenn made his splashdown in 1962. Glimpse at birds standing in the wild as they dance to the songs of the wind, and collect shells as keepsakes during a stroll on the shores of the Bermuda Triangle.
