Australia Zoo & Wildlife Hospital

Take a guided sneak peak into Australia's busiest wildlife hospital where you can watch vets saving endangered Australian Animals. The founder was Steve Irwin nicknamed "The Crocodile Hunter", and he was an Australian zookeeper, television personality, wildlife expert, environmentalist and conservationist. Terri Irwin (wife of the late Steve Irwin) is an American-Australian naturalist, conservationist, author, and the owner of Australia Zoo.


A native Oregonian from the United States, she began an independent animal rehabilitation center for injured predator mammals at age 22 while working for her family's trucking business. You'll also hear all about the conservation efforts of the onsite Wildlife Warrior team.


Then enter into the iconic Australia Zoo - Your ultimate wildlife adventure and conservation destination! Get up close to cuddly koalas, waddling wombats, slithering snakes and cute kangaroos. Check out giraffes, rhinos, zebras, cheetahs and meerkats at the African Savannah, and majestic tigers and red pandas in South-East Asia. See free-roaming ring-tailed lemurs, giant Aldabra tortoises, colorful macaws and more on Bindi's Island! Watch a saltwater crocodile strike from the water's edge in the daily Wildlife Warriors show. You will have approximately 3.5 hours at the zoo during which time you can purchase snacks, lunch and/or refreshments at your own expense. There are many wildlife shows to enjoy during your visit.

Enjoy a 15 minute walk to where your cruise through the Mooloolaba canals will commence. Immerse yourself in the Dreamtime legends, ancient traditions, beliefs and stories of the Sunshine Coasts first eco-custodians, the Saltwater People.

For tens of thousands of years, these coastal plains have belonged to the Kabi Kabi (Gubbi Gubbi) people, known as the mwoirnewar (the saltwater people) to the Jinibara people of the neighbouring hinterland. Experience the life of the traditional land owners who have lived off these bountiful coastal waters for thousands of years.


This tour will have you slipping through the Mooloolaba canals on board our beautifully restored 100 year old traditional timber sailing vessel, "Spray of the Coral Coast," taking a step back in maritime history. Spray of the Coral Coast". Is a 45 ft, 100 year old huon pine ketch is genuinely a part of Australia's maritime history, with her origins stemming from a chance meeting in 1896 between her original owner and Joshua Slocum (the first person to sail solo around the world). 'Spray', as she is affectionately known, has been lovingly restored by the Barrington family since they adopted her almost 8 years ago. Connect with the oldest living culture in the world through storytelling, didgeridoo and entertainment provided by your Indigenous Storyteller Guide as you cruise to sites of cultural significance and places where Dreamtime stories and songs originated. You may even have the chance to spot seabirds, turtles or dolphins.


Drop anchor for one hour as you enjoy an array of delicious bush-tucker inspired catering that brings the flavors and textures of the rainforest and the ocean to life. Served with a refreshing local beer, wine or soda.


Continue for one hour as you cruise back to the pier

Glasshouse Mountains Bushwalk

Depart the pier for an approximately one hour scenic drive in a 4 wheel drive vehicle from the coast to the hinterland of the Sunshine Coast. Arrive at Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve. The Cairncross Reserve was given to the Landsborough Shire Council in 1941 by three Thynne sisters. They named the reserve after their mother, Mary Thynne (née Cairncross, born in 1848). Sunshine Coast Regional Council manages and maintains the reserve along with the volunteers that staff the Thynne Natural History Education Centre daily. The reserve was created to protect the flora and fauna of the Maleny region which comprises 55 hectares of subtropical rainforest overlooking the Glass House Mountains landscape.


Your local guide will take you on an approximate one-hour guided walk through the reserve, As you walk through the rainforest, take in the sound of the wildlife try to spot & hear as many of the 141 bird species as you can. You will see 700-year-old gum trees, large fig-trees, and Red Cedar make sure to watch your step as there are a lot of wallabies that dart across the track during the walk also with some free time included.


Next, head to the interactive Discovery Centre where you can learn even more about this diverse eco-system and its native flora and fauna. Enjoy a short stroll to the viewing platform as you take in spectacular views of the Glass House Mountains, these unique mountains were formed 25-27 million years ago and were once an active volcano. The Glass House Mountains are a cluster of thirteen hills that rise abruptly from the coastal plain on the Sunshine Coast. The highest hill is Mount Beerwah at 556 metres above sea level, but the most identifiable of all the hills is Mount Tibrogargan which from certain angles bears a resemblance to a face staring east towards the ocean. Relax in the parklands as your guide prepares your delicious BBQ buffet lunch, with a choice of a soft drink, or bottled water then drive one hour back to your awaiting ship.

Noosa River Cruise

On this tour you will visit the Buderim Ginger Factory, located at Yandina. One of the premier attractions on the Sunshine Coast and beautiful Noosa, the relaxed charming coastal town with a 45 minute cruise.

Board your coach and drive 40 minutes into the Hinterland and make your way to the famous Buderim Ginger Factory, one of the world's largest suppliers of ginger products. Upon entry, ginger is in the air you breathe, you'll be immersed in the world of ginger. Ginger is a powerful plant with many well known benefits including easing morning and travel sickness. Take a guided tour around the Factory to see how ginger is grown, harvested and turned into a delicious range of products. Finish the tour with a tasting and discover why they produce the world's finest ginger! From a small farming community in the pre World War 1 days, to one of the world's finest ginger producers, food processors and tourist destinations, Buderim Ginger is a long-standing and proudly successful Australian business. It all started with some raw ginger pieces that found their way to Buderim, Australia many, many years ago. They thrived in the rich volcanic soil, the high rainfall and humidity. When the Second World War cut ginger supply from China, sales of the Buderim produced crop soared. As a result of this, five Buderim farmers met together in an old blacksmith's shop and formed The Buderim Ginger Grower's Co-operative Association Limited.

A 40 minute drive will take to you to Noosa, known for its expansive beaches and colourful bays. Cruise on one of Noosa's classic double decked ferries (not exclusive to Silversea guests) from the Noosa Marina Tewantin, the early Noosa River country town east along the beautiful waterway via Noosaville to Noosa Heads with a special detour to the spectacular Noosa River Entrance before cruising the extraordinary riverside homes of Noosa Sound (45 mins). Hear local commentary on history, development and Noosa culture. On disembarking a short amount of free time (approx. one hour) is afforded to wander through Hastings Street, brimming with stylish restaurant, trendy cafes, bars and designer fashion boutiques. Steps away is Noosa Main Beach, if you feel like soaking up some sun or have a quick dip in the water. All too soon it will be time to return to the ship which is a one hour drive from Noosa.

Queensland Air Museum

Scenic 30 minute drive with a guided tour and visit to the Queensland Air Museum with more than 75 historic aircraft and many aviation related displays.


Wander around the 2.5-hectare site, at the Caloundra Aerodrome with an accomplished tour guide to enhance the experience, explain the displays and tell the stories behind the exhibits. Be intrigued as you uncover the interesting stories of the craft, from their flying history to their acquisition and hear about the volunteers who dedicate their time to the painstaking restoration projects Its mission is to collect and preserve all aspects of aviation heritage with an emphasis on Australia and Queensland. The museum has the largest collection of historical aircraft in Queensland and it also has a large collection of aircraft engines, equipment, artefacts, photographs and books.

Scenic Food & Wine Experience

Depart the pier for an approximately one-hour scenic drive in a mini-coaster from the coast to the Glass House Mountains in Queensland's Sunshine Coast. Arrive atop one of the Mountains at a well-positioned lookout where you'll enjoy scenic views of the Glass House Mountains from the lookout and then continue to Gerrard's Lookout for stunning vistas. These unique mountains were formed 25-27 million years ago and were once an active volcano.

A one hour drive will take you towards the quaint mountain top village of Montville. (Population approx.970). Settlement first occurred in Montville in the late 1880s. Montville has a true village charm. You will find a pleasant blend of Tudor, Irish and English cottages of log or stone, Swiss and Bavarian chalets, an old mill water-wheel, colonial and old Queenslanders and of course, one of the most spectacular and panoramic views over a coastal plain you could find in Australia. This is where you'll enjoy a delicious 2-course lunch in the peaceful surrounds of a local restaurant. Head to the Flame Hill Vineyard, perfectly positioned 420 meters above sea level the vineyard slopes consist of friable red scrub soils, draining to black clay creek pastures. At the Flame Hill Vineyard you will enjoy a tasting session with a selection of local wines. Move on Visit Mason Wines Mt Tamborine where the cellar door staff will guide you through Mason's extensive range with styles and varieties to suit all palates. Round out the day with a sample of delicious handmade Belgian style chocolates at a local chocolate store before the 40 minute return drive to the pier.
