Kampot pepper used to be number one in the world with all the best French restaurants using it and it is one of only two products from Cambodia to be certified with a Geographical Indicator – grown in either Kampot or Kep without the use of pesticides and inorganic fertilizers. With little to do in Kampot town itself, head into the surrounding countryside which offers a variety of interesting activities such as visiting a pepper farm, a trip to Kep National Park to walk the circle trail through wonderful jungle or indulging in the famously delicious Kep crab seasoned with Kampot pepper.
