Experience the true essence of romance during a memorable, early-evening gondola cruise along the magical canals of Venice; an absolute must for any visitor to this enchanting city.
Depart the pier via motorboat for the ride across the Giudecca Canal en route to a pier near St. Mark's Square.
Upon arrival, take a short walk to the gondola landing stage and board one of these beautiful hand-painted boats, lovingly cared for by their owners and a source of great pride for them.
Gondola Ride
Although this cruise is non-narrated, the scenery speaks for itself as your gondolier traverses the narrow canals crossed by stone bridges and glides past balconied waterfront buildings. During your 30 to 35-minute ride, listen to musical serenade from a singer on board one of the gondolas in your flotilla.
Following this memorable gondola ride, enjoy a drink in the romantic atmosphere of Saint Mark's area before re-joining your motorboat for the ride back to the pier.
Please note: This tour involves a moderate amount of walking of approximately 15-20 minutes including the walking over four bridges to the gondola station. Guests must be reasonably agile, and able to embark and disembark vessels that sit low in the water. It is solely up to the Gondolier to refuse boarding to anybody he seems is not able to enter and exit the Gondola without any assistants. Should this be case, no refunds will be given due to that. This tour is not recommended for guests with limited mobility, walking difficulties and is not wheelchair-accessible. Casual clothing and flat, comfortable walking shoes are recommended. Please note that the price is per gondola and is valid for two guests.
Please note: Embarking guests can participate to this excursion. Please be advised that the departure time of the tour will be 5:30pm and your embarkation procedures will have to be completed before that.

Basilica of San Vitale
Depart the pier for the short transfer to the centre of Ravenna City, home to eight lovely old mosaics designated as UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Upon arrival, your guided walking tour begins with a visit to the Basilica of San Vitale. One of the greatest monuments in Ravenna, this octagonal building is renowned for both its choir and mosaics dating from the 6th century. Translucent panels bring the mosaics alive in all their grace and harmony, and under a deep blue sky literally glittering with stars are scenes in moss-green, Roman gold, peacock-blue and burnt orange.
Dante's Tomb and Sant'Apollinare Nuovo
Next, take a stroll through the city centre en route to the Tomb of Dante Alighieri, father of the Italian language and author of The Divine Comedy, before reaching the Basilica of Sant'Apollinare Nuovo. Here, admire the largest surface of mosaic works surviving in Ravenna. View the famous procession of female and male saints, richly adorned with pearls and precious stones, moving towards the Virgin and the Baby Jesus.
