Many archaeological remains can be seen in the area, among them a tumuli park with more than 20 tombs from the Silla period. Most of the tombs are grass-covered mounds, creating a spectacular scene which resembles a small mountain range. Another nearby UNESCO World Heritage site is the Bulguksa Temple, a grand centrepiece of a religious architectural complex of exceptional significance and a masterpiece of Far Eastern Buddhist Art.
