Antarctica Fly Cruise Practical Guide

Every great adventure starts with great preparation. Before embarking on your expedition, please take a moment to review this important information to ensure a seamless and spectacular experience in comfort, safety, and style.

ARRIVAL IN SANTIAGO

You will arrive in Santiago two days prior to the start of your Silversea Expedition.
- Hotel check-in begins at 3:00 p.m. local time.
- A Silversea hospitality desk will be available in the hotel lobby or in a designated meeting room.
- Your hotel welcome letter will include key details for the following day, including breakfast arrangements, luggage collection, transfer information, your charter flight assignment, boarding pass, and luggage tag.

CHARTER FLIGHT TO PUERTO WILLIAMS

- After breakfast at your hotel, transfer to Santiago International Airport for a charter flight to Puerto Williams.
- A meal and beverages will be served on board, and seating is preassigned.
- Upon arrival, you will receive a welcome letter and room key before transferring to The Cormorant at 55 South.
- Antarctica gear, including parka, pants, boots, and backpack will be waiting in your room at The Cormorant.
- Enjoy free time before dinner at the hotel.
- Independent guests must arrive at the hotel by 2:00 p.m.
- Place luggage outside your room for collection as instructed.

FLIGHT TO ANTARCTICA

- Please note that weather conditions may impact flight schedules.
- Your transfer time to the charter flight will be communicated via text message or available at the Silversea Hospitality desk.
- Bring your parka, waterproof pants, and boots. Only the backpack provided and hand luggage are permitted. Wheeled luggage is not permitted.
- After a security and boarding pass check, you will board your Antarctic Airways charter flight to Antarctica, the Last Continent.

ARRIVAL IN ANTARCTICA

- Upon arrival on King George Island, you will be entering a regulated military base where independent exploration is not permitted.
- Please follow all instructions provided by the Expedition Team while on the island.
- After disembarking the plane, you will disinfect your footwear in a prepared Virkon biosecurity tray to ensure potential contaminates are not entered into the protected environment of Antarctica.
- Next, you will board a transfer vehicleto the landing beach, where a Zodiac will take you to the ship.
- Please note for safety and security reasons, guests must proceed directly from the aircraft to the transfer vehicles; walking around the aircraft and taking photos is not permitted.

ARRIVAL AT THE SHIP

- Depending on your arrival time, you may be asked to attend a briefing session or relax in a designated public area where you can enjoy refreshments or a meal until your suite is ready.
- Your luggage will be delivered directly to your suite by your butler on the afternoon of your embarkation.

DEPARTURE FROM ANTARCTICA

- A Zodiac will transfer you from the ship to the landing beach.
- Upon arrival, the Expedition team will escort you to vehicles that will take you to a designated waiting shelter on the island. Please note that the shelter has limited facilities and refreshments.
- Again, King George Island is a regulated military base, and independent exploration is not permitted.
- The Expedition team will advise you when it is time for your group to proceed to the aircraft.

ARRIVAL IN PUERTO WILLIAMS

- Your luggage will be transferred directly to your room at The Cormorant once you arrive in Puerto Williams.
- Meals will be provided throughout your stay.
- Transfer details for your flight the following day will be included in your welcome letter, available from the Hospitality Desk in the hotel lobby.
- Luggage collection will take place in the evening; please refer to your welcome letter for timing and instructions.

CHARTER FLIGHT & ARRIVAL IN SANTIAGO

- A charter flight will be arranged for your return journey to Santiago.
- Boarding passes will be provided at The Cormorant.
- After a security and boarding pass check, you will board your Antarctic Airways charter flight to Santiago.
- A meal and beverages will be served on board, and seating is preassigned.
- Upon arrival in Santiago, please collect your luggage from the baggage claim area.
- Guests continuing their journey should proceed to the international terminal for their onward flight.
- Guests staying overnight in Santiago will be met by Silversea representatives and transferred to their hotel.
