Day 1 - Meet at Sydney airport and Check in at the Park Hyatt for a stay organized by themed days! Day one is called "Behind the Scenes Sydney:" Enjoy a morning tour of Sydney with stops at the historic Sydney Rock and the great vistas at the Botanical Gardens, the Sydney Opera House, and the Harbor Bridge. Guided by Brian McDonald, an accredited historian focusing on Colonial history, the tour will then be accompanied by art expert Fiona McIntosh who will provide immersive insight into Sydney's rich landscape of contemporary art museums, galleries, and artists. A driving tour through the narrow streets of Paddington, Woollahra, and Double Bay will culminate in lunch at the iconic Catalina's overlooking Sydney Harbour. Spend the remainder of the day experiencing the prestigious suburbs of Rose Bay, followed by a visit to the Cooee Art Gallery. The gallery focuses on contemporary and historically important works by Aboriginal artists and is a place where deep meaning and beauty can be found.
Day 2 - The second day is themed "Sydney by Water," and involves a wonderful time aboard Iluka! A tour under and past the Sydney Harbor Bridge will involve getting within meters of the Opera House, as well as a stop-off at the Sydney Fish Market for fresh local seafood: provisions for a lunch prepared and enjoyed on-board. The boat tour continues east past Woolloomooloo, Garden Island, Double Bay, Vaucluse, Rose Bay and up to historic Watsons Bay before tying up in town where a very unique experience awaits: a private behind the scenes viewing at Paspaley Pearls at their flagship boutique in Martin Place. See the highly skilled pearl connoisseurs sort, grade, and hand match the finest Australian South Sea pearls to create the highest quality pairs and strands in the world!
Day 3 - "Northern Beaches Experience:" Your day starts with a drive up to the overlook to Sydney Heads and across to famous Manly Beach. Here you'll get a firsthand experience a traditional "Welcome to Country" smoking ceremony led by Aboriginal Elder, Margaret Campbell (Aunty Margaret) who then will escort us to local Aboriginal Carvings. During the walk you will learn about the Sydney Flora and Fauna and how the Aboriginal people survived on this land for tens of thousands of years. In addition, you'll gain insight into the Aboriginal world view and Dreamtime Blueprint and the tangible, multi-dimensional ways in which the Dreamtime still influences and shapes the modern individual and collective culture. After this time with Aunty Margaret there will be a stop at Shelley Beach and Long Reef for snacks and a leisurely walk. Lunch will treat you to such Australian specialties as Kangaroo, Finger Limes, Quandong and Lemon Myrtle: a very local experience! The afternoon and evening activities include a Red Carpet Sydney Opera House experience, with a behind the scenes tour, a VIP tour, and an in-house three course dinner followed by a spectacular performance.
Day 4 - "Farm, Bush walk and Wildlife". Arrive in the historic town of Berrima to stop for a coffee at a quaint local café called Magpie. Katrina Sparke from Redleaf Farm has been described as a modern-day Calamity Jane and her sheep have year on year received the Australian Best Lamb Award from Delicious Magazine and this year her Pigs won in the best Pork category. This is true Australian farming at grass roots level complete with chicken caravan, Highland Cattle, horses, Wolfhounds and their stunning Railway Carriage accommodation conversions that include a sunken bush bath. Transfer to Nature Experience to do some bushwalking and enjoy some magnificent views over the valley and Belmore waterfall. Lunch will be at Burrawang General Store and stroll along the pretty main street. You will be taken to a secret spot only the locals know to get a glimpse of some native animals in the wild. Expect to see Kangaroos and a few wombats grazing on the rolling hills of Robertson. Farewell dinner at the Quay Dining; one of Australia's most awarded and celebrated restaurant for its cuisine as well as its panoramic views of the harbor.
Day 5 - Private transfer to ship in Sydney.
