Aussie Wildlife Express

Experience the scenic natural beauty and wildlife of Australia during this half-day tour to Featherdale Wildlife Park, one of Australia's largest private collections of Australian native animals and bird life.

Sydney

Depart the pier via motorcoach and drive west through Sydney to the renowned Featherdale Wildlife Park. Operating since 1972, Featherdale Wildlife Park houses a great variety of wildlife, including kangaroos, koalas, wallabies, Australian reptiles, Tasmanian devils, wombats and various species of Australian birds.

Featherdale Wildlife Park

On arrival at the park, you are offered a Billy Tea Break, an Aussie tea consisting of lamingtons, Anzac biscuits and a vegemite sampler. The Tea Break features a 'Swaggie Talk' which will give you a brief insight on some of our Australian traditions.

After the tea break you will have some time to stroll through the park at your leisure. Get up close and personal with the animals and hand feed a kangaroo, wallaby, or emu. Other wildlife you may spot could include dingoes, possums, owls, foxes and Tasmanian Devils.

At the conclusion of your exciting visit to the park, re-board the coach and transfer back to your ship.

Please note: This tour requires a moderate amount of walking over gravel paths. Most areas of the Wildlife Park are wheelchair accessible; however, wheelchairs are not permitted in animal enclosures. This tour is suitable for guests who utilise a wheelchair, able to embark/disembark the coach without assistance. It is not recommended for guests with limited mobility. Tour sequence may vary. Should you wish to have your photo taken with a koala, the wildlife park will charge you AUD $25 (at the time of printing) however it is not possible to hold the koalas. You may be able to take a photo of the koalas with your own camera however the park ranger will advise. Comfortable, closed-toe shoes and a hat are recommended.

Blue Mountains by Helicopter

Experience the spectacular natural beauty and renowned landmarks of Sydney from high above during this exhilarating helicopter flight-seeing excursion. 90-minutes of sensational Sydney icons from a helicopter, with a friendly pilot showcasing the beaches, the Harbour, Majestic Three Sisters and the hero of the day The Blue Mountains.

Transfer to the heliport for an in-depth safety briefing and afterwards, board your helicopter. Cameras and video recorders are more than welcome to be taken aboard on the flight, as you can capture more fantastic memories flying over picturesque Sydney Harbour and beyond.

Upon the take-off towards the Blue Mountains, enjoy the best of Sydney with full panoramic views of the skyline, Pacific Ocean and the widely renowned port of Botany Bay. Further along, the pilot will have you flying above the glistening waters of Sensational Sydney Beaches and going north-wards along the coast at 500 feet. Fly over the picturesque coastline of the Eastern Suburbs beaches including Coogee, Clovelly and also the world famous Bondi Beach, the aquamarine waters sparkling against the Sydney sun. You won't be able to stop admiring the spectacular houses in Vaucluse, where they are perched on sculpted sandstone cliffs as the flight continues northbound to Sydney Harbour Heads.

Entering Sydney Harbour, fly past the Sydney Opera House on descent for the southern pylon of the Sydney Harbour Bridge, flanked by the skyscrapers of North Sydney on the right and the Circular Quay on the left. Track the Parramatta River before coming to the Parramatta CBD, the geographical centre of Sydney. The pilot will set course to the West as you slowly start to climb in elevation, the Blue Mountains in all their glory are ahead to greet you and uncover some of their visual secrets that you can only ever appreciate from the air.

See the Majestic Three Sisters and the unforgiving sandstone cliff faces that encompass the Jamison Valley. View the cascading Wentworth Falls as their crystal clear waters drop into the abyss before coming to a gentle end at the sandstone valley floor. The uniquely Australian eucalyptus forests stretch forever as you head South to Sydney's water catchment area, the Warragamba Dam. It is truly amazing that you can go from Australia's largest city to an area so remote. Returning via Sydney's South Western suburbs and the Sydney Olympic Site this amazing flight is bound to exceed even the highest expectations. Your pilot will guide you throughout the flight, providing commentary. This is a must do Sydney Highlight from the air.

The tour concludes back at the pier.

During the walk you will learn about the Sydney Flora and Fauna and how the Aboriginal people survived on this land for tens of thousands of years. In addition, you'll gain insight into the Aboriginal world view and Dreamtime Blueprint and the tangible, multi-dimensional ways in which the Dreamtime still influences and shapes the modern individual and collective culture. After this time with Aunty Margaret there will be a stop at Shelley Beach and Long Reef for snacks and a leisurely walk. Lunch will treat you to such Australian specialties as Kangaroo, Finger Limes, Quandong and Lemon Myrtle: a very local experience! The afternoon and evening activities include a Red Carpet Sydney Opera House experience, with a behind the scenes tour, a VIP tour, and an in-house three course dinner followed by a spectacular performance.
