Jaco Island is found off the eastern tip of Timor in the Lesser Sunda Islands. While the western part of the island belongs to Indonesia, the eastern part gained independence in 2002 as Timor Leste. Nobody lives on Jaco Island, and it is not only part of the Nino Konis Santana National Park, but is also considered sacred by the Timorese. Jaco is the perfect place to wander tropical forests, relax on the beach and swim over a kaleidoscope of coral reef activity. View more
