In-Transit Guests and Guests with flights departing after 4:00 p.m. from Fort Lauderdale International Airport and after 5:00pm from Miami International Airport can explore the expansive Flamingo Gardens during this picturesque, half-day sightseeing excursion.
Wray Home and Museum
Depart the pier for Flamingo Gardens, an approximately 60-acre (about 24-hectare), not-for-profit wildlife sanctuary, aviary and botanical garden located just west of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Upon arrival at this Trip Advisor 'Award of Excellence' winner, your guided tour begins with a visit to the original home of Floyd L. and Jane Wray, who built a home and citrus grove on what was then the edge of the Everglades, and started a botanical collection of tropical and subtropical fruit trees and shrubs. Now a museum, the Wray Home depicts a country home of the early-1930s. Leaving the Wray Home, proceed to the Botanical Gardens.
Botanical Gardens and Tram-Ride
The Botanical Gardens are one of the most beautiful, inspiring and adventurous, yet tranquil, tours offered in Fort Lauderdale. The grounds contain more than 3,000 species of tropical and subtropical plants, including orchids, ferns, bromeliads, 200-year-old live oak trees, and over 300 species of palms. A narrated tram ride leads through the site's tropical rainforest, native hammock, wetland areas and groves. The Tropical Plant House displays orchids, calatheas and other plants. The Arboretum contains one of the largest collection of non-indigenous champion trees in the region, and the Xeriscape Garden demonstrates low maintenance, minimally-watered gardening.
Everglades Wildlife Sanctuary
Next, take a guided tour of the Everglades Wildlife Sanctuary section, which provides care for permanently injured, non-releasable wildlife. Fauna includes an American black bear, otters, alligators, bobcats, Florida panthers, tortoises, freshwater turtles, geese, swans, sandhill cranes, blue-beaked ducks, flamingos, bald eagles, golden eagles, owls, peacocks, macaws, and iguanas. The 25,000-square-foot (about 2,300-square-metre) Everglades aviary houses one of the largest collection of wading birds in the U.S. The aviary exhibits five native Florida ecosystems; coastal prairie, mangrove swamp, cypress forest, sub-tropical hardwood hammock, and sawgrass prairie. At the conclusion of your visit, re-board your coach and commence the approximately one-hour transfer to Miami International Airport, or a 30-minute transfer to Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.

Spend the day discovering and tasting one of San Juan's most famous products- Bacardi Rum.
Your tour begins with a transfer to the south side of San Juan Harbor, where you will enter the beautifully manicured grounds of the Bacardí Rum Distillery, the world's largest distiller of natural spirits. Upon arrival, you will be escorted to your classroom for a private Rum Mixology Seminar led by your Bacardi Brand Specialist, a Master in Rum. For the next 45 minutes to an hour, the conference speaker will lead your group in the preparation and understanding how each of the signature cocktails is created - typically Bacardi Cuba Libre, Bacardi Mojito and a Bacardi Flavors Drink are presented and prepared, though this is subject to change. Each participant will be standing and acting as bartender and at the end will receive a Bacardi University Rum Mixology Certificate.
Following the seminar, you will continue to the interior patio of the Bacardi Visitor's Center. After passing through a large room containing a fountain and three large prints with historical representations, you will enter the theater and view a short film covering the Bacardí Family history as well as that of the Bacardí Corporation. You will then enter a replica of an old distillery that houses an excellent display; here your guide will provide commentary and answer questions. And you will have the opportunity to smell that final product; you will enjoy the aroma of the different type of rums that are bottled at Bacardí.
Your tour will continue to the Bacardí cocktail lounge, which resembles a 1920's bar in Cuba (the era of the prohibition). A bartender will explain and show you how to prepare the first three cocktails ever made with Bacardí: "Cuba Libre", "Daiquiri" and "Mojito Cubano", and you'll learn what inspired Bacardí in the preparation of these three cocktails as well as how they got their names.
As you exit, you will board an open-air tram who will take you to the open-air pavilion, where you will be treated to complimentary rum drinks. Adjacent to the pavilion is the Casa Bacardí gift shop where one can purchase Bacardí Rum as well as many other Bacardí products.

Enjoy a panoramic ride around this tiny island and discover the many hidden beauties for which St. Barts has become famous.
Minibus 'taxis' with drivers who speak varying degrees of English with a heavy French-West-Indian accent, take you on a drive through St. Barts. The first stop, at Le Col de la Tourmente, overlooks the most popular beach, St. Jean Beach and the island's airport. The taxis then follow take the road to Salines (salt ponds), an industrial area of the island. At one time St. Barts exported salt all over the Caribbean.
After Salines, your driver will go through Petite Salines, the only place on the island where you cannot see the ocean, and continue to Grand Fond. The view is breathtaking, with the road overlooking the green valley and the raging ocean breaking on the shoreline. It is very windy, and the landscape is very different from the rest of the island. Only a few years ago, Grand Fond was the cattle center for St. Barts, home not only to many cows, but also goats and sheep.
Continue on the road along the coast to see the house that belonged to the famous Russian dancer, Rudolf Nureyev. It is located right on the rocks facing the ocean. Pass Petit-Cul de Sac (small salt pond) and Grand Cul de Sac with its large lagoon and many hotels and resorts. It is here that the 24-hour windsurf regatta is held in August each year. Then continue to L'Orient and its two flower-filled cemeteries.
Passing La Vigie and Coupe Gorge, your vehicles return to the St. Jean area before taking the road to Corossol, once famous for its women who wore traditional white bonnets and were known for weaving straw hats and baskets. Please note that this does not exist anymore, despite what is written in the guidebooks. After climbing the last hill, your taxi returns to Gustavia. Depending on traffic conditions, the taxis will either stop in the parking lot next to the pier or in town at the main taxi station.
Please note: This tour involves a minimum amount of walking; however, guests must be able to climb in and out of a minibus taxi. This is not a guided tour; it is an orientation drive of the island. Your driver may speak only rudimentary English. The cost of this tour is based upon 6 guests in each van as opposed to 8 as standard for other cruise lines. The cost of this tour reflects the lower occupancy of the vehicles.

Fauna is very abundant throughout the tropical rainforests, however; animals are difficult to spot during the day. From the Aerial Tram you can also appreciate all the different shades of green as well as the various sizes and shapes that the leaves have created as a strategy to capture sunlight. The course is very secure and very quiet; this allows you to listen to the many different sounds of the rainforest.
Beginning from the pier on a fully air-conditioned bus, travel through the Capital city of Castries through the mountains to a village nestled over 2,000 ft. (600 metres) in the mountains. On your way, be treated to magnificent views of St. Lucia's beautiful country-side. The ride takes 30 minutes from the pier in the North of the island to the base station.

Open-air gondolas safely glide you through and over the tree tops, where knotted and twisting woody vines wind to the tops of old growth rainforest trees. Dense thickets of surreal vegetation merge with cascades of flowers. Lavender stars, orange bursts, yellow berries and white lace thrive on the branches of fragrant flowering trees. Giant 'Chatannier', Magnolia, Gommier trees tower over the landscape and provide food and shelter for St. Lucia's endemic and endangered parrot. Here, the flowers bloom with shameless abundance.
