FIVE SHIPS, 71 VOYAGES, 95 DESTINATIONS: SILVERSEA KICKS OFF ITS LARGEST-EVER MEDITERRANEAN SEASON

Following its five-ship Mediterranean summer season in 2025, Silversea will, for the first time in the company's history, extend the season to welcome guests year-round in the region

(MIAMI – April 30th, 2025) With the departure of Silver Ray from Lisbon on April 15th, Silversea — the leading experiential luxury and expedition travel brand — kicked off its largest-ever Mediterranean season. Five Silversea ships will depart on 71 voyages in the region before the end of 2025, immersing guests in 95 destinations. For the first time in the company’s history, Silversea will welcome guests in the Mediterranean throughout the winter season, with Silver Muse remaining in the region until November 2026.

“With a famously diverse offering of iconic cultural experiences, captivating history, and beautiful architecture, the Mediterranean is one of the world’s richest cruising regions and our guests’ enduring interest in its charm has inspired our largest-ever Mediterranean deployment for summer 2025,” said Bert Hernandez, president, Silversea. “With five ships across varying classes, Silversea’s range of voyage options in the Mediterranean is truly unique and perfectly responds to our guests’ preferred experiences.”

Silver Ray, Silver Dawn, Silver Muse, Silver Spirit, and Silver Whisper will connect travelers with the most authentic experiences in the Mediterranean from April 2025 through to November 2026. In addition to the region’s most iconic cities, highlight destinations will include those inaccessible to large ships, such as Saint Tropez, Seville, Sete, Monopoli, and Menton, among others.

Sample Mediterranean voyages for 2025/2026 include*:

  • SILVER MUSE – ATHENS (PIRAEUS) TO ATHENS (PIRAEUS) – October 17th-25th, 2025

Silver Muse will take in the highlights of the Greek Isles on an eight-day sailing from October 17th, departing Athens (Piraeus) to call in Monemvasia (Laconia); Katakolon (Olympia); Souda Bay (Crete) overnight; Santorini; Marmaris, Turkey; and Patmos. Guests can connect with Greek culture at the Archaeological Site of Mystras in Monemvasia (Laconia), take in the birthplace of the Olympics in Olympia, and sample local wine at a winery in Souda Bay and Santorini.

  • SILVER RAY – MONTE CARLO TO CIVITAVECCHIA (ROME) – October 31st-November 7th, 2025

Silversea’s newest ship, Silver Ray, will depart Monte Carlo on a seven-day exploration of the Western Mediterranean in the shoulder season from October 31st, calling in Toulon, Genoa, Livorno (Tuscany), Porto Santo Stefano, and Naples overnight, before arriving in Civitavecchia on November 7th. In Livorno (Tuscany), Silversea’s guests can experience the medieval beauty, grandeur, and legacy of the castle in Castagneto Carducci during an exclusive visit, reserved only for Silversea Guests. From Naples, travelers will have the chance to discover the famous archaeological site of Pompeii, which is regarded as one of the world's finest examples of an ancient Roman town.

  • SILVER DAWN – LISBON TO LISBON – November 26th-December 8th, 2025

Departing round-trip from Lisbon on November 26th, guests traveling aboard Silver Dawn will experience the very best of the Atlantic Islands, from Madeira to the Canary Islands, before journeying on to discover destinations in Spain, Gibraltar, and Portugal’s mainland. Calls on this voyage will include Funchal, Madeira; Santa Cruz de Tenerife; Las Palmas, Canary Islands; Arrecife, Canary Islands; Cadiz, Spain, on an overnight call; and Gibraltar. In Funchal, Madeira, golf fans can play a round at Palheiro – once described as one of the world's most beautiful places to play golf. Other experiences on offer here include exploring the 20-million-year-old UNESCO-listed Laurissilva Forest by 4x4, a foodie walking tour, and a cable car journey to picturesque Monte, among other highlights.

Enhancing the opportunity for immersion, Silversea’s innovative culinary program, S.A.L.T. (Sea and Land Taste), is set to unlock the most authentic culinary experiences for guests in destinations such as Livorno (Tuscany), Cadiz, and Marseille (Provence), among others. Standout S.A.L.T. culinary experiences will include:

  • LIVORNO (TUSCANY), ITALY - Learn Wine & Food Pairing with a Natural Wine Master Over an Exclusive Lunch by Emiko Davies

Guests can enjoy a special day in the dreamy countryside of Tuscany’s San Miniato, visiting a biodynamic winery in a 14th century farmhouse, Fattoria Collebrunacchi, where they will taste organic and biodynamic wines, vinified naturally. Over an exclusive lunch prepared by award-winning cookbook author Emiko Davies at Enoteca Marilu, they will learn how to pair wine with food with her husband, wine specialist Marco Lami.

  • CADIZ, SPAIN - Rare Barrel Tastings & Gourmet Lunch at an Eight-Generation Family-Owned Sherry Producer

Sanlúcar de Barrameda is a quaint coastal village in the southwest corner of Spain with an outsized culinary & cultural heritage. Facing the Atlantic, the bounty and quality of its seafood is prized throughout Spain, earning the village the official title of Gastronomic Capital of Spain in 2022. A few miles inland, lush rolling vineyards of the palomino grape find their ideal expression in the limestone terroir to produce sherry. This experience celebrates four elements - sun, salt, wind, and land - and invites S.A.L.T. guests on rare barrel tastings and a multi-course gourmet lunch in the spectacular 18th century Bodega Hidalgo, currently run by the eighth generation.

  • MARSEILLE (PROVENCE), FRANCE – Multi-Course Seasonal Lunch in Chef Paul’s 17th Century Provençal Farmhouse

Silversea’s guests can join Chef Paul Griffon, co-owner of one of Marseilles’ hottest bistros, for a multi-course seasonal lunch in his family’s 17th century farmhouse — set among centuries-old olive groves in a pristine country setting. Travelers will discover the essence, bounty, and beauty of the Provençal table: from seasonal aromatics and organic vegetables sourced directly from the family garden to the estate’s extra virgin olive oil and locally made honey. They will learn the building blocks of the Provençal kitchen alongside Chef Paul, from Provençal classics like anchoïades and fenouillades to ratatouille and almond croquant. Warm and welcoming, Paul spent three years in a Michelin Star restaurant.
