SILVERSEA OPENS GENERAL SALES FOR INAUGURAL SILVER NOVA℠ VOYAGES

The world’s first cruise ship with zero local emissions at port will embark upon her maiden voyage in July 2023

(MONACO – January 6, 2022) Those looking to experience the world’s most luxurious and sustainable cruise experience can now book their dream voyage on Silversea Cruises’® Silver Nova℠, the first vessel in the cruise line’s revolutionary Nova class of ships. As one of the most spacious cruise ships ever built and with a planned launch in summer 2023, Silver Nova℠ will offer butler service for every suite, 270-degree ocean and land views from selected suites, an immersive culinary concept, and much more. Silver Nova℠ will be the world’s first cruise ship to utilize advanced hybrid technology featuring fuel cells for zero local emissions at port, paving the way for the future of luxurious, sustainable cruising.

Inaugural Voyage and Season
The inaugural season for Silver Nova will commence on July 15, 2023, and will include immersive sailings ranging from seven to 23 days that will enable guests to soak in spectacular scenery and nature, and learn about each region’s colourful history, culinary riches and culture.

During Silver Nova’s 10-day maiden voyage from Southampton to Lisbon, travelers will journey deep into many of the Mediterranean’s most spectacular destinations, including Saint Malo, France, where travelers will explore the famous Mont Saint-Michel; the Basque city of Bilbao, Spain; and Oporto (Leixoes), Portugal, among others. Two overnights in Bordeaux, France, will facilitate even more immersive discovery in France’s most iconic wine region. The voyage will further delight guests with onboard events designed to celebrate the launch of Silver Nova and the advent of a new cruising experience.

In her inaugural season, Silver Nova will offer nine voyages in the Mediterranean, calling in 48 destinations in 16 countries, journeying from the Iberian Peninsula to the Western Mediterranean, the Adriatic, and the Southern Mediterranean – including calls in Northern Africa. Silver Nova will subsequently cross the Atlantic to unlock the Caribbean and South America for guests on 11 voyages, including an exploration of Bermuda and the Eastern Caribbean, a Panama Canal crossing, and a 71-day circumnavigation of South America.

“Opening reservations on the inaugural Silver Nova voyages marks a proud moment in Silversea’s history. We’re excited to offer our guests the opportunity to experience this technologically advanced and beautifully designed ship as they cruise deep into the world’s most amazing destinations,” says Barbara Muckermann, Chief Commercial Officer. “To say Silver Nova is spectacular is an understatement. Her voyages will please and delight with our door-to-door all-inclusive fares and combos to indulge travelers with comfort, luxury and personalized attention unlike anything they have ever experienced before.”

New Asymmetrical Design
Taking comfort to a new level, and in a design first for Silversea, Silver Nova will feature a new asymmetrical design concept, creating an open connection to the ship’s spacious indoor and outdoor public areas – a hallmark for Silversea’s Nova class. The pool deck reflects this new design approach: Instead of having an enclosed swimming pool in the middle of the deck, the pool will be open to one side of the ship, providing unobstructed views.

The Silver Nova Suite Offering
Silver Nova’s
innovative horizontal layout will provide ample space for dedicated suite decks and decks specifically for public space, along with the largest offering of suite types in Silversea’s history, and among the most spacious in the cruise industry. These include large aft suites, which will afford stunning 270-degree ocean and land views. Silver Nova’s13 suite types celebrate Italian craftsmanship, delicately curated design and a color palette of soft tones and sea-inspired artful accents.

Every detail of Silver Nova’s suites is on a grand scale: Walk-in shower or large bathtub or whirlpool; roomy walk-in closet, a spacious and comfortable sleeping area, a luxurious living room and luxury amenities including a multi-sensory soak prepared by Silversea’s butlers, complemented by candlelight, music, and haute snacks like caviar and champagne.

New Otium Suite – Largest Suite Aboard Silver Nova
The largest of Silver Nova’s suites is the 123m2 Otium Suite, located in the premium aft corner of the ship. Otium Suite guests will enjoy views from the 40m2 balcony and relax in its private whirlpool. Otium indulgences extend to a special food experience, which includes an in-suite comfort food menu of gourmet popcorn, lobster rolls, and other delectable treats, available 24 hours per day.

Ultra-luxurious Onboard Experience
Silversea’s renowned service standards will be delivered aboard Silver Nova with an exceptionally high crew-to-guest ratio of 1:1.3, butler service for every suite and the highest space-to-guest ratio in the cruise line’s fleet (75 GRT-per-passenger). Other Silver Nova amenities will include Otium℠, Silversea’s wellness program encouraging balanced indulgence, pampering and pleasure inspired by the Roman lifestyle that was first introduced in 2021 on Silver Dawn℠, and S.A.L.T.℠, an immersive culinary concept that guests first experienced on Silver Moon℠, bringing destination authenticity to the ship’s cuisine through locally sourced products, market trips and visiting chef demonstrations. According to Silversea’s executives, S.A.L.T.℠ will take both raved-review concepts to “the next level.”

Sustainability at Heart
Silver Nova
and future Nova Class ships will be among the greenest cruise ships ever built – a reflection of Silversea and Royal Caribbean Group’s commitment to environmental sustainability. In addition to all the ultra-luxurious accommodations onboard, it’s innovative, unprecedented, state-of-the-art technological solutions will make it the first low-emissions luxury cruise ship with advanced hybrid technology featuring fuel cells, paving the way for the future of luxurious, sustainable cruising.

Silver Nova combines luxury and sustainability with its revolutionary innovative features to offer guests the ultimate traveling experience,” says Roberto Martinoli, President and CEO of Silversea Cruises. “Silver Nova represents more than a new luxury ship; her launch advances responsible cruising and innovation in the cruise industry, and strengthens our leadership in the ultra-luxury segment.”
