Day 1 - Arrive London and travel into the heart of London to your hotel. Spend a relaxing afternoon settling into your luxurious hotel and enjoying afternoon tea served in the Palm Court restaurant. Depart for a Southbank walking tour, travel by vehicle along the Embankment to Parliament Square, see Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament and drive across Westminster Bridge to the South Bank, passing the London Eye and arriving shortly thereafter at the Royal Festival Hall. Continue on foot for an enjoyable and informative walk along the 'South Bank'; for much of the way follow the Silver Jubilee Walkway marked out in 1977 to celebrate the Silver Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II. Take some time to reenergize for an evening Welcome reception and dinner at the hotel.
Day 2 - Discover the world's largest and oldest occupied Castle with a visit to Windsor Castle, home to British kings and queens for over 900 years. Within the castle grounds lies St George's Chapel, one of the finest examples of Gothic architecture in England. St George's Chapel is not only the burial place of 10 monarchs including Henry VIII and Charles I but has also been the venue of many royal weddings, most recently HRH Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's wedding in May 2018. On leaving Windsor Castle enjoy lunch at a local restaurant and free time in Windsor before returning to central London.
Day 3 - Depart for a panoramic tour of the sights of London before being dropped to Westminster pier to board a luxury vessel and enjoy a leisurely afternoon boat cruise and lunch along the River Thames. Disembark your river cruise vessel at Greenwich pier and enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before stretching your legs and exploring this historical area by foot. Greenwich is internationally recognized as the home of time and is also where to find the prime meridian of the world and where every place on earth is measured from here. This evening dine at one of the most famous restaurants in the world - The Ivy, London.
Day 4 - Today begin by visiting Fortnum & Mason and their flagship store on Piccadilly where they have been trading for over 300 years. Fortnum & Mason are a Royal Warrant holder and an iconic British brand. There will be time to visit the shop before joining your guide for a gentle stroll towards Berry Bros & Rudd.
Enjoy an exclusive tutored wine tasting in the elegant setting, followed by a sumptuous 3-course lunch prepared by the talented Head Chef Stewart Turner - formerly of the three Michelin-starred Waterside Inn.
Day 5 - Revel in London's culinary treasures at the world-famous Billingsgate Fish Market! Meet members from the Seafood Training School for a morning perusing the stalls of vendors selling up to 150 different types of fish and seafood. A private demonstration on the perfect technique for filleting fish will culminate in a traditional fish breakfast before departing towards The Globe Theatre. Join a tour that will give you in depth knowledge about Elizabethan theatre and culture.
Day 6 - Depart the Hotel for a journey across central London to St Paul's Cathedral for an inside guided visit of Sir Christopher Wren's splendid masterpiece. Continue to Westminster Abbey for an inside guided visit. The Abbey is world famous as the resting place of Britain's monarchs and as the setting for coronations and other great pageants.
Day 7 - Built in 1514 Hampton Court was once home to several Kings of England including Henry VIII and is located on a beautiful stretch of the River Thames. Today focus on the spectacular formal gardens and parkland that run down to the River Thames which feature delightful displays of flowing bulbs and fountains. During your visit you will see the world's oldest puzzle Maze dating from the late 17th century, The Great Fountain Garden with the longest herbaceous mixed flower border in Britain and Privy Garden.
Day 8 - After a full English breakfast at your hotel you will be taken to the seated stands to view the ceremony of Trooping the Colour. The Sovereign's birthday is officially celebrated by the ceremony of Trooping the Colour (Queen's Birthday Parade). This impressive display of pageantry takes place on a Saturday in June by her personal troops, the Household Division, on Horse Guards Parade, with Her Majesty the Queen herself attending and taking the salute. Her Majesty then joins other members of the Royal Family on the palace balcony for a fly-past by the Royal Air Force. Watch the RAF flypast in a private location before having a Champagne reception and formal seated lunch. Following this once in a lifetime experience take the opportunity to see London at your own pace, enjoy some shopping and the Queen's birthday celebrations throughout London. An exclusive farewell served in a London Restaurant.
Day 9 - After breakfast, check out of your hotel and transfer to the airport for your return flight home.
