In addition, see a restored hare paenga (boat-house), hare moa (hen's-house) and boat-ramp; a recreation of everything that marked the existence of the Rapa Nui culture, its beliefs and resources.
Local fruit juice and cake, and a Takona body-painting session accompanied by traditional songs
As a special treat, you are invited to enjoy a glass of natural fruit juice and poe (traditional cake) at this remarkable location whilst enjoying a Takona body-painting, which has been specially staged for the group. During traditional ceremonies, Rapa Nui people paint their faces and bodies, thus preserving the technique of mixing natural pigments and describing the meaning of the painting. Your body-painting session is accompanied by musicians singing traditional songs.
