Limasawa is a tiny island in the Bohol Sea close to the Surigao Strait. It is considered that this is where the first Christian Mass was held in the Philippines during Magellan’s attempt to circumnavigate the world and the island holds the National Shrine of the First Mass. One of the historically and culturally interesting features is a replica of a Pintado longhouse.
