Explore Hydra town highlights on foot during this informative walking tour.
This tiny picturesque island made its impact in history as a major force in the Greek War of Independence. Only sparsely inhabited through the aeons, Hydra began to come to life when refugees fleeing the constant struggles between the Ottomans and Venetians decided to take up occupancy here. Due to its strategic location and protected harbor, the building of boats became the logical solution for trade.
Follow your guide as you proceed from the pier to the town, where you find the Church of the Dormition. Once a true convent it contains splendid icons, chandeliers and offerings from the wealthy seafarers of the island. It is even said that one of the chandeliers was actually stolen from Louis the XIV of France and given to the church.
Next, visit the Historical Archives Museum of Hydra, close to the eastern side of the harbour. It houses a fine collection of portraits and naval oddments, with an emphasis on the island's role in the War of Independence.
Following this visit, you may enjoy staying in town for a refreshment on your own or to browse the unique village shops or return directly to the pier.
Please note: This tour is conducted entirely on foot and involves an extensive amount of walking (1.5 km). There are numerous stairs to negotiate and it is not recommended for guests with limited mobility or for those who utilise a wheelchair. Flat, comfortable walking shoes, sun protection and conservative attire are recommended.
Experience picturesque Hydra in a relaxing new way during this panoramic, half-day excursion via horseback and boat.
Hydra, Horseback-Riding Station
Depart the pier for the short walk to the horseback-riding station. After receiving your safety and riding instructions and being assigned a horse to ride, begin your guided horseback-riding journey through Hydra. This tiny, picturesque island made its impact in history as a major force in the Greek War of Independence. Only sparsely-inhabited through the ages, Hydra came to life when refugees fleeing the constant struggles between the Ottomans and Venetians decided to take up occupancy here. Due to its strategic location and protected harbour, boat-building became the logical solution for trade.
Horseback-Riding, Countryside, Beach, Refreshments, Sunbathing, Swimming, Boat-Ride
Along the way, your horseback-riding route traverses the scenic countryside en route to one of the few beaches on the island. Upon arrival at the beach, enjoy refreshments, bask in the warm sun and take an optional swim in the inviting, crystal-clear waters. At the conclusion of your visit, embark a boat and commence the short ride back to the pier.
Please note: This tour involves a moderate amount of horseback-riding and walking for approximately 219 yards (about 200 metres), at times over uneven and sandy surfaces, with a few steps to negotiate to embark/disembark the boat. Walking and swimming at the beach is at the discretion of each guest. This tour is not suitable for pregnant guests, guests with neck and/or back problems, guests with limited mobility and guests who utilise a wheelchair. Guests are advised to wear lightweight, comfortable clothing with flat, closed-toe walking or sport shoes, and bring sun protection, a bathing suit and towel from the ship. Guests must be at least seven years old to participate on this tour; minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. The weight of each participating guests must not exceed 220 pounds (about 100 kilograms). This tour is not available for the call on June 10. The tour sequence may vary. Space on this tour is extremely limited; we suggest you book well in advance to avoid disappointment. Since there are only eight horses on the island, participation of more than eight guests results in two departures from the ship; guests on the first departure ride to the beach and return via the hotel's boat, and guests on the second departure sail to the hotel and return via horseback.

Mykonos is probably the most well-known and talked about of all the Greek islands. Re-known today for its jet-set nightlife and wild beaches, Mykonos, after various occupations typical in the history of Greece, actually made a substantial impact during the Greek War of Independence. After which, the life here did settled down for a while before it was 're discovered' as a beautiful location for filming and bringing with it actors, artists and jet setters. Upon arriving in Mykonos Town, your walking tour will begin to showcase both the lifestyle and the true history of this unique town.
Commence your walking tour through the narrow whitewashed streets; here you can appreciate the fact that its' confusing layout was designed to foil the attacking pirates. The picture-perfect "Little Venice", so called due to its striking resemblance in design to the famous canal city and the nearby windmills (an island trademark) offer wonderful photo opportunities. Afterwards, enjoy some free time for shopping before returning to the ship.
Please note: Tour involves a moderate amount of walking over cobbled and uneven surfaces. This tour is not recommended for guests with limited mobility or for those who utilise a wheelchair. We suggest guests wear lightweight, seasonal clothing, flat, walking shoes and sun protection.
Enjoy some fun in the Mediterranean sun during this half-day beach break.
Use this opportunity to spend some relaxation time at one of the best beaches of Mykonos. Elia beach is one of the island's most gorgeous beaches and is the longest sandy beach on Mykonos, fully organized, offering a wide choice of taverns and bars as well as water sports facilities such as water-skiing, parasailing and windsurfing.
A short transfer from the pier brings you to this scenic area to enjoy the afternoon. Your English-speaking escort will assist you with any inquiries you may have during the transfer and will also advise the pick-up time for the return transfer to the port.
During your stay at the beach, enjoy the comfort of a sunbed and the shade of an umbrella while you take in the warm rays of the afternoon sun. An included menu for every four guests (sharing the Greek way) consisting of a traditional Greek salad, tzatziki, taramosalata, mushrooms cooked in garlic butter and parsley, fresh mussels cooked in white wine sauce and more, accompanied by beverages, makes this outing a real Greek beach experience.
Please note: Tour involves minimal walking; however guests must be capable of walking a short distance through the sand to the sunbeds. We suggest guests wear seasonal clothing, flat, walking shoes, sun protection and bring their swimsuit and towel from the ship. Watersports rentals are available at the beach and some areas designated as clothing optional. Guests wishing to stay longer at the beach are responsible for making their own way back to the ship. A minimum number of participants is required to operate this programme. Operation is also dependent upon favourable weather conditions.
Indulge your senses with the exquisite beauty and flavours of Mykonos during this panoramic, half-day sightseeing excursion.
Scenic Drive and Agios Ioannis Beach
Depart the pier for the scenic, approximate 30-minute drive south to the beach of Agios Ioannis. After a photo stop at Agios Ioannis, resume your drive past the beaches of Kalafatis and Agia Anna, and on to the centre of the island for a visit to the traditional village of Ano Mera.
Ano Mera and Monastery Visit
Next, take a guided tour of the nearby Panagia Tourliani Monastery, built by monks in 1542 and dedicated to the Virgin Mary. The monastery features wonderful, unique island architecture, an ornately-carved marble fountain in the courtyard and a carved wooden screen in the church that was imported from Florence. From here, proceed to the peaceful little village-square for some Greek appetisers and 'ouzo', then return to Mykonos.
Mykonos
Mykonos Island is world-famous for its unique landscape, pure-white houses, snow-white churches with red or blue domes, windmills, beautiful bays, and superb beaches with crystal-clear waters. During your guided walking tour, visit a traditional, 15th-century bakery that is still in operation today. Following your tour, you may opt to return directly to the Tourlos Pier via shuttle bus, or remain in town at your leisure (time permitting) and return to the ship on your own.
Please note: This tour involves a moderate amount of walking for approximately 75 minutes, mostly on uneven ground. It is not recommended for guests with limited mobility or those who utilise a wheelchair. Wear light-weight, comfortable clothing with closed-toe walking shoes, and bring protection from the sun. Ladies must wear skirts and cover their shoulders for the visit to the monastery; shorts are not permitted inside. Guests must be at least 21 years old to be served alcoholic beverages. Experience the ancient beauty and ruins of Delos during a scenic and informative half-day tour of this sacred island.
Depart the ship for the brief transfer to the local ferry dock, then board a ferry, or 'caique', for the 45-minute ride to the tiny, uninhabited island of Delos. Upon arrival, your tour continues on foot.
Although Delos Island only has an area of approximately 1.5 square-miles (about four square-kilometres), it was once a very important religious, cultural and commercial centre. Today, the island is covered with ruins from fallen columns, sections of the famous mosaics that adorned the houses of the wealthy, a stadium and seats from a theatre. A row of five marble lions also stands amidst these ruins.
Other interesting monuments found at the site and spread over a wide area include the Agora, the treasuries of the various cities, the Sanctuary of Apollo, the Theatre, the Sanctuary of the Foreign Gods, and the sacred Mt. Cynthus. After your visit, re-board the boat for the approximate 45-minute return ride to Mykonos. Upon arrival, you may opt to return directly to the pier via shuttle bus, or remain in town to explore picturesque Chora and return to the ship on your own.
Please note: This tour involves an extensive amount of walking for approximately two hours, mostly on uneven ground. Exploration of the archaeological site is entirely on-foot. It is not recommended for guests with limited mobility or those who utilise a wheelchair. The trip to-and-from Delos is via local boat on seas that may be choppy at times. Operation of this tour is subject to favourable weather and sea conditions. Air-conditioned coaches are the best available, but not deluxe, and can be described as 'well-travelled', island-style motor coaches. Wear light-weight, comfortable clothing with closed-toe walking shoes, and bring protection from the sun. There is limited shade at the archaeological site. Restrooms are available at the cafeteria located approximately 975 feet (about 275 metres) from the tender area at Delos; however, the cafeteria is privately owned and might not always be open.

The Asklepion sits on the slopes of a low, tree-covered hill overlooking the Aegean Sea and Turkish coast. Due to the sloping ground here, buildings exist on three different levels and are connected by a marble staircase. Following your visit, re-board your coach and drive back to Kos Town.

The Castle of the Knights dominates the port, and Hellenistic and Roman ruins are strewn everywhere. Along the way, view the Tree of Hippocrates. It is said this huge plane tree was planted by Hippocrates himself about 2,400 years ago, and that he taught his disciples under its shade. At the conclusion of your tour, you may commence the short walk back to the pier, or opt to remain in town for further exploration and return to the ship on your own.
Please note: This tour involves a moderate amount of walking for approximately 0.93 miles (about 1.5 kilometres), at times over uneven, gravel, and cobblestone surfaces and inclines, with a few steps to negotiate to get on/off the coach and at the sites visited. Walking in Kos Town is at the discretion of each guest. This tour is not suitable for guests with limited mobility and guests who utilise a wheelchair. Lightweight, comfortable clothing with flat, closed-toe walking shoes and sun protection is recommended.

Along the way, see many beautiful and interesting sights, the most important of which is the House of Antimachia, a good representation of a traditional, early-20th-century house. Available exclusively to our esteemed guests, Silversea is pleased to present this private evening concert inside the ancient city of Ephesus - one of Turkey's most famous and best-preserved sites of antiquity.
After an early dinner onboard, coaches will be ready to take you to Ephesus, an approximately 20-minute drive from the port. Arriving at the lower entrance of Ephesus, guests will proceed on foot through a wide marble road to one of the largest libraries of the ancient world. Between 12,000 and 15,000 scrolls were housed in the grand Library of Celsus in the Roman city, Ephesus. Designed by the Roman architect Vitruoya, the library was built in memory of Celsus Polemeanus, a prominent Roman general and politician who was a great lover of reading.
In case of a large number of participants, guests will enter through the upper entrance and proceed a short distance on foot to Odeon for the concert. The semi-circular theater was built in the 2nd century AD. Its lower tiers of marble benches are original; the remaining tiers have been reconstructed.
In either of these dramatic settings, you are treated to the wonderful music of famous composers, such as Vivaldi, Boccherini, Mozart, Bach and Faure, which take on a special meaning in the spellbinding atmosphere of Ephesus. Refreshments served during intermission will further enhance the special mood of the evening.
At the end of the performance, make your way back to the coaches and conclude this magical evening with the return drive to Kusadasi and the ship.
Please note: This programme is only available to Silversea guests. This exclusive programme involves moderate walking over uneven and inclined surfaces. Guests with limited mobility or guests that utilise a wheelchair should speak to the Shore Concierge staff onboard to request assistance accessing the concert venue at Ephesus. We recommend wearing comfortable shoes and perhaps bringing a shawl or light sweater for cooler temperatures at night. This programme requires a minimum number of participants to operate. Operation of this programme is dependent upon favourable weather conditions and is subject to last minute cancellation should weather become a factor. Depending on the number participating guests, the Celsus Library may be substituted as the concert venue.

Depart from the pier for a visit to Claros Antique Site with your guide and expert who will add a new and exciting dimension to the discoveries and treasures of Claros and Ephesus during this exclusive programme.
Claros and the Temple of Apollo
Claros is a prophecy centre of Colophon, one of the twelve Ionic cities. Claros is built between two cities; it is 8 miles (13 kilometres) south of Colophon and 1.25 miles (2 kilometres) north of Notion. The Temple of Apollo here was a very important centre of prophecy as in Delphi and Didyma. The oldest information about this sacred site goes back to the sixth and seventh centuries B.C. through the Homeric Hymns. A sacred cave near the Claros' Temple of Apollo, an important place both in the Hellenistic and Roman eras, points to the existence of a Cybele cult here during the earlier periods.
Discoveries
Claros' Apollo sacred side was first discovered by S. Schuchardt. Later, in 1907, Theodore Macridy found a column of a propylon, a monumental entrance building. In 1913, Macridy worked with Charles Picard and together they found the propylon, which contains a large exedra.
The excavations were suspended during World War I and were restarted by Louis Robert in 1950 and lasted until 1961. After 27 years, Professor Juliette de La Geniere started a series of supervising excavations. In 1988-1989, during systematic cleaning work, archaeologists found structures that had remained under the alluvium.
Ephesus Archaeological Museum
After Claros, a visit is made to the Ephesus Archaeological Museum, which showcases two wonderful statues of Artemis and 25,000 artefacts unearthed in this historic ancient city.
Basilica of St. John
Your last stop is at the nearby Basilica of St. John, one of the most significant religious monuments of its time. Built in the 6th century to replace the small basilica at the site of St. John's Tomb, the church signifies a major move from the ancient Roman cults to Christianity.
Temple of Artemis
Following your visit, drive by the Temple of Artemis, where one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World lies in ruins. After your short photo stop at the site, continue for the short drive to a local restaurant to relax and enjoy lunch before making the return drive to Kusadasi.

The Virgin Mary is said to have come here in the company of St. John towards the end of her life, around 40 A.D. The site remained undiscovered and unvisited for 1800 years until being described in visions by a German nun who had not previously seen nor visited the house.
Each year, Christians and Muslims who honour 'Meryemana' as the mother of a great prophet make religious pilgrimages to the site. Beneath the house is a fountain where a sacred spring feeds three fonts, each bestowing a unique blessing upon visitors. From here, re-board your coach and continue on for the drive to Ephesus.

Leaving the House of the Virgin Mary, resume your drive to Selçuk and the upper entrance of Ephesus, Turkey's most celebrated site of antiquity, and among the best places in the world to experience a step back into Roman times.

Ephesus
After Istanbul's Sultanahmet area, the ruins of Ephesus are the most-visited landmarks in all of Turkey. The city ranks among the world's most beautiful classical cities, on par with Rome and Athens in scope, quality and feel. In ancient times, Ephesus hosted St. Paul, St. John and the Virgin Mary. Ephesus was an important Greek trading city of Ionia. Later, it became Rome's provincial capital and was home to one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. The massive foundation of the Temple of Diana can still be seen here today after 3,000 years. In the 60s A.D., when the city supposedly had a population of nearly 150,000, St. Paul lived here for three years and wrote one of his most famous epistles, the Letter to the Ephesians.
Walking Tour
Your guided walking tour commences at the Magnesium Gate, and proceeds downhill at a leisurely pace through Ephesus' marble streets. Along the way, your guide points out historically-significant sites, including the gymnasium, Temple of Hadrian, Upper Agora, Roman Baths, and more.
Terrace Houses
Next, continue on to the recently-renovated Terrace Houses, which are the focus of this tour. Built during the reign of Augustus on the slopes of Bulbul Mountain, they were inhabited by wealthy Ephesians until the 7th century A.D., according to evidence from excavations. The houses on the upper slopes are reached via steps, and constructed so that the roof of one house forms the terrace of the house above it. All were peristyle, featuring a pool in the centre, with the rooms arranged around the pool. There was running water to the houses, either from a fountain or along the side. These restored houses are finely-decorated with marble floors, and walls adorned with exquisite mosaics and frescoes.
Celsus Library
Your last stop is the exquisite Celsus Library. Built in 135 B.C. by a son in homage to his father, this magnificent library is lavishly decorated with facades, columns and sculptures. The library once housed 12,000 scrolls of papyrus manuscripts, making it one of the largest in the ancient world and second only to the library in Alexandria, Egypt.
Greek Theatre
Just a short walk away is the spectacular Greek Theatre. Originally built in the 3rd century by the Greeks, the theatre was later expanded to its present capacity of 24,000. From this theatre, which has a row of seats 100 feet (30 metres) above the orchestra, St. Paul preached to the Ephesians, imploring them to give up their worship of Artemis and embrace the Christian faith.
Ephesus Archaeological Museum
Your last stop is at the Ephesus Archaeological Museum, which showcases two wonderful statues of Artemis and 25,000 artefacts unearthed in this historic ancient city.
Following your visit, re-board your coach for the short drive to a local restaurant to relax and enjoy lunch before making the return drive to Kusadasi. Upon arrival, you may opt to be taken directly to the ship, or remain in town for a carpet demonstration, shopping and return to the pier at your leisure.
Please note: This tour involves extensive walking (approximately 1.5 km/0.9 miles), with many steps (over 100) in the terrace houses section of Ephesus and is not recommended for guests with limited mobility and guests who utilise a wheelchair. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended. Your expert guide will meet you at Ephesus or Ephesus Museum and accompany you until lunch where your licensed guide will remain with you throughout the tour. Order of sites visited may vary. Space is very limited; we suggest you book in advance to avoid disappointment. If tour departure is in the afternoon, lunch will take place at the beginning of the tour, before touring the Terrace Houses.
Discover one of the world's most beautiful ancient cities during this scenic and memorable half-day excursion to Ephesus.
Depart the pier in Kusadasi for the scenic drive to the spectacular ancient city of Ephesus, or 'Efes'. En route, pass through the countryside dotted with orchards of fig trees and rural Turkish villages.
Celsus Library
During your walking tour, see the exquisite Celsus Library.

Temple of Hadrian
Your archaeological tour continues with a visit to the Temple of Hadrian, built in the 2nd century A.D. in the name of the Emperor.

Following your visit, re-board your coach for the return drive to Kusadasi. Upon arrival, you may opt to return directly to the ship, or remain in town for shopping or an optional carpet presentation before returning to the pier at your leisure.
Please note: This tour involves a moderate amount of walking, and uneven, inclined ground or cobblestones at the archaeological site. Although this tour is suitable for guests with limited mobility and it is not recommended for guests that utilise a wheelchair. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended. A minimum number of participants is required to operate this tour. The tour sequence may vary.
Embrace the ancient beauty, sites and treasures of Ephesus during a full-day tour of this spectacular old city.
Home of the Virgin Mary
Depart the pier for the drive out of Kusadasi, and towards Bulbul Mountain to see the house that some claim to be the last home of the Virgin Mary. The Virgin Mary is said to have come here in the company of St. John towards the end of her life, around 40 A.D. The site remained undiscovered and unvisited for 1,800 years until being described in visions by a German nun who had not previously seen nor visited the house.

Built in the 6th century to replace the small basilica at the site of St. John's Tomb, the church signifies a major move from the ancient Roman cults to Christianity. Experience one of the most beautiful and historic regions in Greece during this memorable visit to Volos, Mount Pelion and Makrinitsa.
Volos and the Archaeological Museum
Depart the pier for the scenic drive along the waterfront to Volos. Upon arrival, proceed to the Archaeological Museum, which is housed in a century-old Neo-Classical building. During your guided visit, view numerous exhibits that include Palaeolithic artefacts, vases and figurines from the Neolithic Era, splendid, 3,500-year-old jewellery and a unique collection of painted funerary stele from Hellenistic times.
Mount Pelion
Next, re-board your coach for the drive up the slopes of Mount Pelion. One of the most beautiful regions in Greece, it features an abundance of trees, waterways, lush vegetation and 24 picturesque villages. Most of the villages have remained untouched over the centuries, and the architecture of their houses is unique.
Makrinitsa
Situated at an elevation of approximately 2,460 feet (about 750 metres) is the village of Makrinitsa, also known as the 'Balcony of Pelion' and one of the prettiest villages in Greece. Its narrow, cobbled streets lead to the main square, which features a sculpted marble fountain, the Church of Agios Ionnis, a café with wonderful frescoes, and spectacular views overlooking Volos and the ships in the bay. After some free time to explore Makrinitsa at your leisure, re-board your coach for the brief drive back to the pier.
Please note: This tour involves a moderate amount of walking over uneven surfaces (approximately 1 km/0.6 miles), with over 10 steps to negotiate at the entrances to the monasteries. This tour is not recommended for guests with limited mobility or those who utilise a wheelchair. The tour sequence may vary.
Discover the premiere attraction in Volos and explore the city's ancient past during this picturesque, full-day journey to the spectacular Meteora Monasteries.
Depart the pier for the approximate 2.5-hour, 85-mile (137-kilometre) drive inland to the Meteora Monasteries. En route, proceed through the fertile plain of Thessaly and Larissa, the provincial capital, before reaching Kalambaka. This quaint country town provides a convenient base for visiting the Meteora area and its monasteries, the main attractions in this part of Greece. A brief comfort stop is made (optional) before ascending the road leading up from Kalambaka and visiting the monasteries.
Meteora Monasteries
Towering above the plain is the unique phenomenon of the Meteora Monasteries. Here, the awesome landscape features immense granite rocks soaring hundreds of feet skyward, with many of them crowned by 600-year-old monasteries clinging to the crest-like eagles' nests. At various points, caves once occupied by hermits can be seen in the rock face. Monks formed communities on mountain crests of dizzying heights, and took refuge from plundering bandits.
Originally built with wooden balconies overhanging sheer drops, the monasteries were accessible through net baskets hauled up by ropes. Later, steps were cut into the rock and, more recently, a road was constructed. Only six of the original 24 monasteries are still inhabited. Two have become nunneries, going against an initial ruling that barred women from entering these institutions. Few of the monasteries are open to the public; today, visit two of them.
Aghios Stephanos and Varlaam Monasteries
Founded in 1367, the Agios Stephanos Convent features a chapel with lovely frescoes. While the approach to Agios Stephanos is relatively easy, accessing the Varlaam Monastery requires many steps to negotiate. However, both monasteries are of considerable interest and offer spectacular views out to the distant Pindus Mountains. Afterward, re-board your coach, drive back down to the plain via an alternate route and stop for a buffet lunch. After lunch, re-board your coach for the approximately 2.5-hour return drive to Volos.
Please note: This tour involves an extensive amount of walking over uneven surfaces with many steps to negotiate at the entrances to the monasteries. This tour is not recommended for guests with limited mobility or those who utilise a wheelchair. All monasteries have a strict dress code applicable to both women and men. Women must wear skirts and cover their shoulders; men are required to wear slacks. The drive between the pier and Volos is approximately 2.5 hours in each direction. The tour sequence may vary.
Explore the history, landmarks and flavours of Volos and its surroundings in a unique way during this panoramic, half-day sightseeing excursion via coach and vintage train.
Milies Village, Historical Museum, Church of Pammeggiston Taxiarchon, Free Time
Depart the pier and begin your drive to the village of Milies. Upon arrival, take a guided walking tour through the village. Along the way, visit the historical Museum, which displays manuscripts of Antimos Gazis, Konstantas and others who took part in the Greek revolution of 1821, as well as the beautiful Church of Pammeggiston Taxiarchon, a unique stone church with a beautiful temple. This church is among the few that combine religion with the ancient sciences, as there is the zodiac cycle on one of the wall paintings.
Train-Ride, Pelion Mountain, Olive Groves, Sea and Bridge Views, Ano Lehonia
Following your walking tour, enjoy some free time before boarding the little train, Moutzouris, for your exclusive, panoramic ride down Pelion Mountain en route to Ano Lehonia. This vintage train, once again operating following a 25-year hiatus, moves at a speed of approximately 15.5 m.p.h (about 25 k.p.h). Your incredibly picturesque route down the mountain traverses forests of olive groves, and offers breath-taking views overlooking the sea and unique, five-arched and sturdy iron bridges. Upon arrival in Ano Lehonia, de-board the train and board your coach for a short drive back to Volos.
Volos, Promenade, Shops, Buildings, Pagasitikos Gulf, Centaur Mountain, Tsipouradika, Lunch
Arrive in Volos and take a brief guided walk of the city and stop by the Promenade. This popular hub for fishermen and their fishing boats also features shops, beautiful buildings and spectacular views of the Pagasitikos Gulf and Centaur Mountain. Next, experience the true essence of Volos gastronomy during lunch at one of the famous 'tsipouradika' in all of Greece. The 'tsipouradika' of Volos, which number approximately 400 in all, are a celebration of flavours that has its roots in the early-20th century. Each colourful tsipouradika in Volos represent the main meeting and communication venue in its area. Your meal consists of seafood and other local specialities accompanied by a small glass of 'tsipouro', a popular Greek brandy. After lunch, re-board your coach and commence the short drive back to the pier.
Please note: This tour involves a moderate amount of walking for approximately 765 yards (about 700 metres), at times over uneven and cobblestone surfaces, with a few steps to negotiate to get on/off the coach and board-de-board the train. This tour is not suitable for guests with limited mobility and guests who utilise a wheelchair. The journey on the train is approximately one hour and fifteen minutes and there are no toilet facilities onboard. The toilet facilities are available at both train stations.
