Cypress Island, a small remote island, is located in the middle of the San Juan Islands in Puget Sound, Washington. Nearly 90% of its area is managed by the Department of Natural Resources and has been designated by the State of Washington as a Natural Resource Conservation Area and a Natural Area Preserve, giving it the highest possible form of protection.
