Experience a Nautilus-ride to the Marine Reserve named after Jacques Cousteau and snorkel in the blue Caribbean Sea during this panoramic, half-day undersea excursion.


Malendure Beach, Nautilus-Ride, Pigeon Island, Protected Sanctuary

Depart the pier for the scenic, approximately one-hour drive along the leeward cost to Bouillante, and the grey-sanded, volcanic beach of Malendure. Upon arrival, embark the Nautilus, a modern, glass-bottom boat with spacious viewing windows at your feet. After a few minutes to settle in, begin sailing the waters surrounding Pigeon Island, a protected sanctuary named after famous French oceanographer and film director Jacques Cousteau. His first movie, The Word of Silence, featured several scenes filmed here.


Caribbean Sea, Swimming/Snorkelling, Coral, Tropical Fish, and Marine Life

During your voyage, the Nautilus stops for a guided swimming and snorkelling session in the crystal-clear Caribbean Sea, amongst tropical fish and marine life. Back on board, relax with a complementary drink during the ride back to Malendure Beach. Upon arrival, disembark the Nautilus, re-board your coach and commence the approximately one-hour drive back to the pier.


Please note: This tour involves a minimal amount of walking for approximately 33 yards (about 30 metres), with a few steps to negotiate to get on/off the coach, and embark/disembark the boat and boat ladder. This tour is recommended for guests that are in good physical condition, and can swim in water too deep too stand. This tour is not suitable for pregnant guests, guest with neck and/or back problems, guests with heart and/or respiratory conditions, guests prone to motion sickness, guests with limited mobility, and guests who utilise a wheelchair. Guests are advised to wear a swimsuit under a cover-up with beach or water shoes, and bring sun protection, bottled water and a towel from the ship. Guests must be at least four years old to participate on this tour. Snorkelling equipment is provided. There are no changing facilities on board the boat. Waterproof cameras are highly recommended. Guests may not snorkel if they have consumed alcohol. Although frequently encountered on this type of tour, marine life sightings are not guaranteed. Operation of this tour is subject to weather conditions.

Capesterre-Belle-Eau, Longueteau Estate, and Rum Tour and Tasting

Depart the pier for the scenic and narrated, approximately one-hour drive towards Capesterre-Belle-Eau. Your first stop is at the Longueteau Estate. This Domaine, part of the same family for two decades, produces a multiple-award-winning quality rum. During your guided walking tour, learn about sugar cane production and how the estate's aged rum is made. Following your guided tour, proceed for a tasting of their aged rum.


Petit Bourg and Domaine de Valombreuse

Next, re-board your coach and continue on to the lovely, approximately 9.8-acre (about four-hectare) Domaine de Valombreuse. This shaded floral garden is rich with Pandanus trees, primary forest, orchids, cacao trees, a palm grove, and spectacular exotic flowers foraged by countless humming birds. Following your visit and refreshments, re-board your coach and commence the approximately one-hour drive back to the pier.


Please note: This tour involves a extensive amount of walking for approximately 0.6 miles (1 km), with a few steps to negotiate to get on/off the coach and a steep exit at the Domaine de Valombreuse. This tour is not suitable for guests with limited mobility and guests who utilise a wheelchair. Lightweight, comfortable clothing with flat, non-slip, closed-toe walking shoes and sun protection are recommended. Guests must be at least five years old to participate on this tour. The tour sequence may vary.

National Park of Guadeloupe, Cascade aux Ecrevisses and Tropical Forest

Depart the pier for the scenic, approximately one-hour drive to the National Park of Guadeloupe. En route, marvel at the eastern shore of Basse-Terre whilst navigating picturesque roads bordered by rich vegetation, pristine nature and tropical landscapes. Upon arrival at the National Park of Guadeloupe, travel across the park to experience the Cascade aux Ecrevisses and its lovely falls, along with majestic kapok trees, arborescent ferns, and the sights and sounds of this exquisite tropical forest.

Next, re-board your coach and proceed for a photo stop at Petit Bourg, then continue on to the lovely Domaine de Valombreuse. Lightweight, comfortable clothing with flat, closed-toe walking shoes and sun protection are recommended. Guests must be at least five years old to participate on this tour. The tour sequence may vary.
