DAY 1

Lima

Upon arrival in Lima, you are met and transferred from the airport to the hotel. After check-in, the remainder of the day is at your leisure. All meals are on your own account. Please note: If your flight is scheduled to arrive after 6:00pm, you should be aware that you will have very little time to rest at the hotel. In such cases, for your comfort and convenience, we strongly recommend adding an additional night's stay to your program. Overnight at the Westin Lima Libertador - Lima, Peru.

DAY 2

Lima/Cusco/Sacred Valley

Begin your day with breakfast in the hotel restaurant and then return to Lima's airport for your flight to Cusco. If the sky is clear, the 80-minute flight offers impressive views of the Andes. Upon arrival in Cusco, claim your baggage and then board the coach. You will be transferred to the Sacred Valley of the Incas and visit the village of Chinchero, which was one of the most important populations during the Inca Empire. However, as much of its annexes, it was also a victim of the "extirpation of idolatries", action that replaced the traditional deities by Catholic ones to transform the popular beliefs. In this way important monuments and buildings completely disappeared. Lunch and dinner will be provided at the hotel. The rest of the afternoon is at your leisure to enjoy the hotel facilities. Overnight at the Tambo Del Inka - Urubamba.

DAY 3

Sacred Valley

Breakfast is provided at the hotel, before your visit to Ollantaytambo a town, which has been inhabited uninterruptedly since Inca times. Later, have lunch in Ollantaytambo at a local restaurant and enjoy a superior Andean gastronomy experience, where the true spirit of the Sacred Valley is transmitted in a cozy atmosphere! Delight yourself with the surprising variety of recipes prepared under the careful tutelage of renowned chefs. The ingredients used come from the fertile Sacred Valley of the Incas, and are rich in nutrients and flavour. After lunch enjoy a show with Peruvian Paso horse, renowned for the smoothest gait in the world. Stunning equestrian demonstrations, to the rhythm of marinera music. At the end of this activity, you will be transferred back to your hotel to enjoy the evening. Dinner is provided at the hotel. Overnight at the Tambo Del Inka - Urubamba.

DAY 4

Urubamba/Machu Picchu/Cusco

Breakfast is provided at the hotel this morning before your transfer to the Ollantaytambo train station. Relax on the two hour Vistadome train on your way to Aguas Calientes. Aguas Calientes is also known as "Machu Picchu pueblo" and is the last stop before the entrance to the remains of the most important archaeological site in Peru. Finally, after a short transfer you will reach Machu Picchu, a masterpiece of engineering and architecture that is believed to have served as a sanctuary and retreat for the Inca Pachacutec (1438 - 1572). Machu Picchu, which means "Old Mountain", is considered a World Heritage by UNESCO and one of the new Seven Wonders of the World. Upon arrival at the site, commence a guided tour of the marvelous Citadel, then take a stroll through this impressive archaeological site on your own. Explore the famous "Lost City of the Incas" and feel its pulse while visualizing the lives of the priests, craftsmen, and servants who lived in this seemingly incredible site. Excavations have only added to the mystery, revealing the skeletons of 173 people along with artifacts and woolen clothing, though no gold. Afterward, enjoy lunch at the Machu Picchu Sanctuary Lodge restaurant. In the afternoon return by Vistadome train and be transferred to your hotel in Cusco. A boxed dinner will be provided this evening. Overnight at the Palacio Del Inka - Cusco.

DAY 5

Cusco/Callao

Breakfast is provided before it is time to check-out of the hotel. Start your tour with a visit to the Coricancha, also known as the "Temple of the Sun" (or "Premises of the Gilded One"), the construction of which was ordered by Inca Pachacutec (1438-1471) and was used as base for the construction of the Santo Domingo Convent upon the arrival of the Spaniards. This is when the Sun (Inti, in Quechua) was worshipped during the Inca Empire and at the time of the Incas, its walls were fully covered with gold sheets and its courtyards were planted with golden corn and life-size llamas. Afterwards visit the Cathedral, the most important building on the Main Square and one of the most splendid Spanish colonial churches in America, which is shaped as a Latin Cross and houses about 400 colonial paintings from the Cusco art school, an impressive goldsmith, silversmith and precious stones works. Its construction lasted almost a century; it started in 1560 and ended in 1654. The Ecclesiastical Chapter ordered to extract and transport hundreds of stones from the Sacsayhuaman fortress for this purpose. Transfer back to the airport for your flight into Lima. Upon arrival in Lima, you will be transfer to Callao pier. Our representative will assist you at the airport and will transfer you the pier. Bon voyage!
