All guests will undergo pre-embarkation health screening including an enhanced health questionnaire and daily touchless temperature checks.
Guests are responsible for complying with local health and safety regulations – in the country of embarkation, in countries through which they transit on their return journeys, and in their country of origin upon their return home. These regulations could include a COVID-19 test (PCR or other).
Silversea will provide a complimentary COVID-19 rapid antigen test for all disembarking guests. Guests requiring a PCR test can contact a Silversea representative or a member of the onboard team, as this will have to be pre-arranged.
Safe-Passage (Salvo Conducto): Silversea will take care of the safe-passage document approved by the Ministry of Tourism, which all travellers entering the Galapagos Islands are required to present. A printed copy of this document will be provided to guests during their pre-cruise journey in Quito.
If guests are planning their own independent pre-cruise travel experience outside of the standard Silversea package – which includes 2 nights at the JW Marriott Quito and inter-Ecuador flights – they should contact their Silversea representative or travel professional if they require assistance in completing the Salvo Conducto. Please note that this document must be requested within 10 days prior to departure and must be printed and shown to the local authorities upon arrival in San Cristobal.
All guests must take a RT-PCR test up to 96 hours before they arrive in San Cristobal (Your arrival in San Cristobal is scheduled for Saturday 1 PM EST). Guests will need to carry two printed copies of their negative test result, which will be presented upon arrival.
At this stage, safety requirements for travel are evolving very rapidly. The latest information regarding safety regulations for the voyage will be communicated to guests no later than 30 days prior to sailing.
