Spend the day discovering and tasting one of San Juan's most famous products- Bacardi Rum.
Your tour begins with a transfer to the south side of San Juan Harbor, where you will enter the beautifully manicured grounds of the Bacardí Rum Distillery, the world's largest distiller of natural spirits. Upon arrival, you will be escorted to your classroom for a private Rum Mixology Seminar led by your Bacardi Brand Specialist, a Master in Rum. For the next 45 minutes to an hour, the conference speaker will lead your group in the preparation and understanding how each of the signature cocktails is created - typically Bacardi Cuba Libre, Bacardi Mojito and a Bacardi Flavors Drink are presented and prepared, though this is subject to change. Each participant will be standing and acting as bartender and at the end will receive a Bacardi University Rum Mixology Certificate.
Following the seminar, you will continue to the interior patio of the Bacardi Visitor's Center. After passing through a large room containing a fountain and three large prints with historical representations, you will enter the theater and view a short film covering the Bacardí Family history as well as that of the Bacardí Corporation. You will then enter a replica of an old distillery that houses an excellent display; here your guide will provide commentary and answer questions. And you will have the opportunity to smell that final product; you will enjoy the aroma of the different type of rums that are bottled at Bacardí.
Your tour will continue to the Bacardí cocktail lounge, which resembles a 1920's bar in Cuba (the era of the prohibition). A bartender will explain and show you how to prepare the first three cocktails ever made with Bacardí: "Cuba Libre", "Daiquiri" and "Mojito Cubano", and you'll learn what inspired Bacardí in the preparation of these three cocktails as well as how they got their names.
As you exit, you will board an open-air tram who will take you to the open-air pavilion, where you will be treated to complimentary rum drinks. Adjacent to the pavilion is the Casa Bacardí gift shop where one can purchase Bacardí Rum as well as many other Bacardí products.

On the Heritage Tour, you get a chance to enjoy the Estates grounds at a relaxed pace in a pristine and tranquil setting. Uncover clues to the property's origins and learn why expert historians, too, are so enamoured with Bois Cotlette.
As you delve into the plantation history, three themes emerge. First is a story of people. Learn about the social structure of the owner/planter class, as well as life as a slave inhabitant in the late 1700's and turn of the century at Bois Cotlette. The second is a theme of technology. Windmills, aqueducts, and fresh water capture systems demonstrate an anachronistic view of a time period thought to be less advanced. Thirdly, we will focus on the commercial crops, (coffee, sugar, cocoa, and citrus), with demonstrations, that define the estates existence.
Planter's Herb Garden and Refreshments
You will have an opportunity to enjoy authentic creole snacks and refreshments, and to stroll through the Planter's herb garden located just south of the Maison.

St. Kitts Scenic Railway
No trip to this two-island federation is complete without the experience of traveling on the St. Kitts Scenic Railway. This one-of-a-kind narrow gauge railroad was built almost a century ago to deliver sugar cane from the fields to the sugar mill in the capital city of Basseterre. The railway now provides a fascinating way to see the island from the comfort of double-deck railcars built specifically for touring the island of St. Kitts. The upper level features a spacious open-air observation deck with panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. Island ambiance is evoked with comfortable rattan furniture, complimentary specialty drinks, island music sung by the Scenic Railway Choir, and a colorful narrative history of the Caribbean.
On this memorable journey, the railway hugs the Northeastern coastline where rippling fields of sugarcane stretch from the shoreline up to the mountains. The high volcanic peaks rise nearly 4,000 feet above sea level, coated with lush green rainforests. The train rolls across tall steel bridges spanning deep 'ghuts', or canyons, and winds through small villages and farms. Your railway tour narrator will point out abandoned sugar estates with overgrown chimneys and windmills, and provide insight into the island's unique history. The duration of the train ride is approximately 1.5 hour.

British Virgin Islands
samedi 30 mars
Tortola's smaller sister island, Virgin Gorda, boasts the British Virgin Islands' main attraction - the Baths. Board the boat at Road Harbour pier for your cruise along Sir Francis Drake Channel toward Virgin Gorda. The famous waterway has seen scores of pirates and buccaneers who once plied their profitable trade here.
Virgin Gorda
Landing at quaint Spanish Town, Virgin Gorda's main settlement, an open safari bus awaits for the short drive to the top of the Baths at Spring Bay. As you approach the area, you begin to see the characteristic boulders strewn across the arid ground that stand as reminders of the volcanic action that took place here some 70 million years ago. Follow your guide down to the amazing Baths along a narrow trail set between huge boulders on both sides.
The Baths
Along a powdery, white sand beach, giant boulders are poised on top of each other in seemingly precarious positions. Weathered by time and the elements, a series of spectacular pools and grottos have been created. The site is a natural phenomenon and never fails to amaze its visitors. Take a swim in the clear, warm water, or squeeze through narrow crevices and discover small caverns where sunlight creates cool hues. The picture below the waterline is equally fascinating with small tropical fish darting through the crystalline water. A total of about two hours is spent at the Baths.
After hiking back up, rejoin the safari bus for a scenic island drive back to the local beach side restaurant where a freshly prepared lunch is served before returning to the marina and the boat back to Jost Van Dyke.
Please note: The boat trip to Virgin Gorda is 45 minutes each way via ferry and is un-narrated. Transportation on the island is in open safari buses and is an un-narrated transfer to the Baths. The walk to the Baths requires about a 15-minute downhill/uphill hike on an uneven path. We recommend wearing beach attire under a cover-up and rubber-soled shoes. A sun hat and sunscreen are essential. Snorkel equipment can be rented at the Baths (subject to availability), or you may bring your own. The Baths are a popular destination and therefore frequently crowded

The type of fishing that you'll be doing is trolling. This means the boat will be in the open ocean and 4 to 6 lines will be utilised on downriggers and outriggers. The tour may be operated in different locations due to adverse sea or weather locations. Fish is given to the guests only at the Captain's discretion.

Upon arrival, you have a twenty minute period to sign the waiver, use the restrooms and get geared up. Gear consists of a harness, a set of gloves and a helmet, plus a variety of buckles and straps that the guides attach to the harness.
Then the adventure begins when you board a trolley or funicular to advance you to the commencing area. Walk up a short but steep hill to embark on a narrow, graveled trail that slowly leads you uphill. After approximately ten minutes, arrive at the first platform, a nice wooden deck that accommodates groups of up to 10 for a detailed demonstration of the procedures. After listening to a brief explanation of the system, key instructions and positions, the guide will ask for the first brave volunteer to step up and away into the forest.

The El Yunque Rainforest, covering 28,000 acres (11,200 hectares), contains 75% of the virgin forests left in Puerto Rico. The entire area is a bird sanctuary and holds claim to being the only tropical rainforest in the U.S. National Forest System. Thanks to receiving 100 billion gallons of rain per year, the forest is able to sustain some 250 species of trees, 50 types of ferns and as many as 20 varieties of wild orchids. In addition to the flora and fauna, El Yunque is also home to an array of Puerto Rican wildlife.
El Portal
Your rainforest visit includes a stop at El Portal, the modern and airy visitor's centre constructed to blend into the natural surroundings. Inside, the exhibit space is devoted to explaining the importance of tropical forests.
Hiking Trail
Continue with photo stops at La Coca Falls and the Yokahu Lookout Tower, then explore the rainforest in depth on a nature hike accompanied by your driver/guide. Beginning at the Palo Colorado Information Centre, the trail passes the Baño Grande, a large man-made pool, then enters the Palo Colorado forest, one of four forest types in El Yunque Rainforest. Stop to see an example of the work that the Forest Service has done to help conserve the Puerto Rican Parrot, cross a picturesque stream, and exit the trail at another Information Centre.
After this invigorating walk, board your transport for the return journey to the ship.
Please note: Tour involves a moderate amount of walking. There is walking over pathways at some of the stops and 96 stairs at the observation tower, although this climb is optional.
