Suheli Island is an oval-shaped coral atoll located in the Union Territory of Lakshadweep, India. Suheli consists of a reef that forms a large lagoon that encircles two other uninhabited islands (Cheriyakara and Valiyakara). The atoll is surrounded by rich marine life and has been proposed to be designated as a Marine National Park. The atoll is teeming with reef fishes and is an important site for tuna fishing. Turtle nesting also occurs in this lagoon near Valiyakara Island. View more
