Accessible Dominica & Rainforest Drive

Do not miss this unusual opportunity to experience a waterfall without the need of heavy walking. A short easy walk takes you to a viewpoint where you can see the picturesque Hibiscus Falls tucked away in rainforest greenery.


Depart the pier via coach for the approximate 50 minute drive to Hibiscus Falls. Drive through the second largest village in Dominica called Portsmouth on our way to the rainforest and see why Dominica is rightfully called the Nature Island of the Caribbean. You will pass tropical rainforest and many plantations with various fruit trees such as Mango, Banana, Avocado and Cacao to name a few.


On arrival at Hibiscus Falls enjoy a leisurely walk of approximately 30 yards (27 metres) along a flat surface and arrive to a viewpoint where you can see the picturesque Hibiscus Falls tucked away in the rainforest greenery. Less than a 5 minute walk will take you to the pool of the waterfall where you can take a quick dip in the refreshing pool.


Reboard your coach and depart the falls for the return drive to the pier, along the way a stop will be made at the Layou River to view its dramatic landscape.


Please note: This tour requires a moderate amount of walking of approximately 30 yards (27 metres) along even terrain. This tour is suitable for guests who utilise a wheelchair and for those with limited mobility. Guests are advised to wear lightweight, comfortable clothing, and bring sunscreen, a hat and sunglasses from the ship. Guests opting to swim in the pool at Hibiscus Falls should bring a swimsuit and towel from the ship. The road surfaces in Dominica are bumpy in some areas and wind through the hillsides. Depart the pier aboard a rib-boat for an exhilarating ride to one of the best snorkeling sites in Dominica's Toucari Bay.
