Next, drive up Mount William Hill for spectacular views overlooking Philipsburg and the majestic Dutch Harbour.
Philipsburg and Cole Bay
Upon arrival in Philipsburg, approximately one hour is made available to browse the excellent duty-free shops and boutiques, or stop by the casino. After re-boarding the coach, your drive continues through the old village of Orleans and up Hope Hill for splendid vistas of the coast, Orient Beach and nearby Pinel Island. From here, your return drive to Marigot proceeds through the scenic village of Cole Bay. A photo stop is made at the International Look Out Point for stunning views of the Simpson Bay Lagoon and neighbouring islands.

Depart the pier for the brief drive to picturesque French Oyster Pond. Upon arrival, visit the quaint home and gallery of Dona Bryhiel, a renowned artist of the modern figurative style and mixed media. Her beautiful watercolours of France and St. Martin are a pleasure to behold. Your drive continues on to the Oyster Pond home and studio of Marie Moine, who continues the French tradition of big fire earthenware. Here, see her Creole paintings; unique freehand creations that abound with colour.
O'Reilly Hill and Concordia
Next, a visit is made to O'Reilly Hill, which overlooks Grand Case, to visit the home and studio of Minguet. The artist's lithographs, oils and watercolours feature an explosion of incredible colour. From here, drive to French Cul-de-Sac where you will meet the painter Antoine Chapon in his picturesque home/gallery. Famous for the luminosity and transparency of his watercolors and oils, the painter welcomes you to his breezy veranda, with breathtaking views of the bay. In 2006, he received an award of excellence at the prestigious International Marine Art Exhibition at The Mystic Seaport Museum in Connecticut. Afterward, proceed to Concordia, a suburb of Marigot, where you enter Monika's Art Studio - PARADOXE - where her Creole house is nestled in a delightful tropical garden. Living in this charming place since 1992, Monika invites you to a journey through time and space to discover her original and unique paintings. Jazz rhythms, vibrations, and colors are connected in abstract line and space, punctuated by pallet knife and brushes in oil paintings and mixed media. Forever, painting and music are to, Monika, the universal language of man to spiritual rise.
Your tour concludes with a visit to Maximilian's Art in the Garden Gallery, located in midtown Philipsburg. Nestled in a garden setting, this unique gallery displays Maximilian's original paintings and prints amongst plants and flowers. From realism to abstract, view original works in oil, pastel and acrylic. Considered one of the most successful artists on Dutch St. Maarten, Maximilian has had numerous exhibitions locally, and in the United States and Cuba. Following your visit, re-board your coach for the return drive to the pier.

Depart the pier for the narrated, approximate 30-minute drive to the French side of the island, then proceed to Orient Beach, also known as the 'French Riviera of the Caribbean'. One of St. Martin's most famous beaches, Orient Beach is home to 1.5 miles (2.4 kilometres) of white-sand beaches fringed with coconut palm and sea grape trees.
Upon arrival at Orient Beach, you are greeted and served a complimentary drink. Your two-hour visit includes a reserved beach chair and umbrella; freshwater showers are available at the beach. A wide array of fun-filled and exciting water sports, from parasailing to windsurfing, is also available at your own expense. Following your visit, re-board your coach for the approximate 30-minute drive back to the pier.
