Maceio, Ponta Verde Beach and Catamaran-Ride
Depart the pier for the scenic, approximately 30-minute ride to Ponta Verde Beach. Upon arrival, proceed to your awaiting catamaran, the Lopana I. This spacious and comfortable vessel features a restroom, bar, WiFi, and music on board. After receiving your safety and boating instructions, embark your catamaran and begin this panoramic sightseeing journey along a route not commonly seen during rafting excursion.
Pedra Virada, Swimming, Natural Pools, Bay, Lopana
Your first stop is adjacent to Pedra Virada, a popular spot for surfing, kayaking, windsurfing and paddle-boarding. Upon arrival, some free time is made available for swimming and sunbathing before embarking your catamaran for the ride to the Natural Pools region. A stop is made at Piscina do Amor for an opportunity to bathe in one of the natural pools, which were carved from the reef by the sea. Following your visit, embark the catamaran and head for your final stop, the bay in front of the Lopana restaurant. Throughout the cruise, drinks and snacks prepared by the Lopana restaurant are available on the boat at your own expense, and payable in cash at the completion of the cruise.
Ponta Verde Beach, Free Time, Sunbathing and Swimming
Following your catamaran cruise, approximately one hour of free time is made available at Ponta Verde Beach for sunbathing and swimming. At the conclusion of your visit, re-board your coach and commence the approximately 30-minute drive back to the pier.
Please note: This tour involves a moderate amount of walking, with a few steps to negotiate to get on/off the coach and embark/disembark the catamaran. Walking and swimming at Ponta Verde Beach is at the discretion of each guest. This tour is recommended for guests who are in good physical condition. This tour is not suitable for pregnant guests, guest with neck and/or back problems, guests with heart and/or respiratory conditions, guests prone to motion sickness, guests with limited mobility, and guests who utilise a wheelchair. Guests are advised to wear a swimsuit under a cover-up with beach or water shoes, and bring sun protection, a towel, bottled water and change of clothing from the ship. Drinks and snacks prepared by the Lopana restaurant are available on the boat at your own expense, and payable in cash at the completion of the cruise. The visibility of the Natural Pools is a subject to low/high tide.
With 600 kilometers square, the Mundau lagoon represents one of the most important eco systems of the State of Alagoas, besides the historical, economic and cultural aspects. A 30 minutes' drive will take us to "Pontal da Barra", a typical fisherman village where the famous "rendeiras", the lace maker ladies from Maceio. We will board a motor boat (schooner type) to start sailing on the lagoon channel and it's amazing nature and beauty compose by nine islands where fishermen and lace makers lives, rich fauna and flora, fishes and crustaceous, not to mention passing by the secluded beaches. We will make a stop at the little green beach for a swimming where the lagoons approach the sea. Free time for relax or sunbathe (approximately 2 hours). Then we will return to "Pontal da Barra" where we will board the bus and return to the ship.
Please note: Guests are advised to wear a swimsuit under a cover-up, sun protection and bring a towel from the ship. Boarding the vessel may be considered challenging for some guests and therefore tour is not recommended for guests with limited mobility and guests who utilise a wheelchair. Please note that facilities at the little grean beach are basic and limited. Silversea cannot guantee the availability of sun chairs, umbrelas and toilets up to Silversea Standards. Guides are the best available but might fall short Silversea standards. A minimum number of guests per guide are required for operation of this tour.
A panoramic tour that will take you through the main touristic points of Maceio: The traditional Jaraguá borough with its historical and cultural richness, passing by the sound and image museum, the commercial association and Marsílio Dias square. After a photo stop at the traditional "rendeiras", the broidery lady's district at the Pontal da Barra your drive continues all the way to downtown through the Pele stadium, and squares of Montepio dos Artistas, Visconde de Sinimbu´s and Floriano Peixoto. The Bom Jesus dos Martirios church, the former and new governor's palace, Deodoro Theater, Alagoas literature academy, among many of the attractions before continuing through the Dom Pedro II square, the deputies council, the Nossa Senhora dos Prazeres cathedral with a short stop at the Jacutinga hill and the view point São Gonçalo do Amarante for a photo stop, where a small chapel of the same name is located. After the panoramic tour through the urban beaches of Maceio, a stop at the hand craft pavilion will be made. Afterward, re-board your coach for the return drive to the pier.
