Meishi May Flower International Golf Club

It is called "A course between Seaside and City" as it offers views of both the South China Sea and the big metropolis. The Meishi May Flower International Golf Club is the first golf course in Hainan to use Paspalum grass making the course green all the four seasons of the year. Each hole has five tees to challenge every level of golfer. The 13th and 16th holes are the signature holes and reflect on the designer, Colin Montgomery's ideas and philosophy. The 13th hole has it featured terrace, woods, bunkers and water hazards. The Golf course has greens short hit, bunkers professional driving range, which can fully meet the needs of professional and amateur golfers.

Spend a half-day exploring the history of Haikou during this scenic and informative sightseeing excursion.

Five Officials' Temple Tomb of Hai Rui

Depart the pier for the approximately 30-minute drive to the Five Officials' Temple, a large temple complex originally constructed in the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) during the reign of Emperor Wanli. Central in importance among the various temples within the compound is the Wugong Temple, which commemorates five famous officials banished to Hainan during the Tang Dynasty (618-907). This renovated temple is renowned for its tranquil atmosphere and beautiful architecture.

Tomb of Hai Rui

Next, a visit is made to the Tomb of Hai Rui. A highly principled, upright and outspoken minister during the mid-Ming Dynasty, he was regarded as the 'lord of the civilians'. The tomb was built in 1589 under the order of Emperor Wanli to commemorate Hai Rui's honesty in performing official duties, justice in enforcing laws and bravery in defying influential officials.

City Tour & Evergreen Park

Leaving the Tomb of Hai Rui, re-board your coach for an orientation drive through the city and a photo stop at Evergreen Park. The largest tropical scenery-park in Haikou City, Evergreen Park is an ideal place for leisure time and public gatherings.

Your tour concludes back at the pier.

Please note: This tour requires a moderate amount of walking for approximately 437-656 yards (about 400-600 metres), with a few steps to negotiate to get on/off the coach and 10-15 steps at the sites visited. Volcanic Cluster National Geopark

Experience the unique natural beauty of Haikou during this fascinating, half-day excursion to the Haikou Shishan Volcanic Cluster National Geopark.

Haikou Shishan Volcanic Cluster National Geopark

Depart the pier for approximately one-hour scenic drive to the Haikou Shishan Volcanic Cluster National Geopark. Located approximately 9.3 miles (about 15 kilometres) from the city centre of Haikou, this natural volcano geology museum was awarded Geopark status by UNESCO and offers a splendid insight into the early formation of Hainan Island. The geopark spans approximately 69 square miles (about 180 square kilometres), and consists of over 40 Quaternary volcanoes with a number of lava landscapes and up to 30 volcanic caves.

The eruption of the ancient Qiongbei Volcano left the most intact volcano craters here. According to geologists, the last eruption happened about 13,000 years ago. Today, 36 remnants of the craters can be seen here. At approximately 732 feet (about 223 metres) in height, Saddle Hill is the tallest of the lot.

During your visit, take a guided tour of the volcano cultural garden, ecological garden, green corridor, and the crater's garden. The highlight of the park is the top of the volcano, which is accessible by numerous stairs. On a clear day, the entire city of Haikou is visible from this perspective. Time permitting, you can also descend the various paths to the caves inside this extinct volcano.

Following your visit, re-board your coach for the approximately one-hour drive back to the pier.
