Will Wagstaff, Ornithologist
Will Wagstaff has been guiding his own wildlife tours since 1985, showing visitors the natural history of the Isles of Scilly where he lives. During the winter months, he has led wildlife tours to many parts of the globe, most notably the Falkland Islands. He has also led tours to the Galapagos Islands, South Africa, Ethiopia, Sri Lanka, and the Seychelles and has worked aboard expedition ships in the Arctic as well as the Antarctic.
Will graduated with a joint honours degree in Biology and Geology in 1981. Primarily an ornithologist, he also has a keen interest in all other forms of wildlife. Will regularly writes articles for various birding magazines in the UK, often contributes to local and national TV and radio programmes concerning the Isles of Scilly, and is the proud author of the Bradt Guide to the Falkland Islands (2001). He is Chairman and Honorary President of the Isles of Scilly Bird Group.
