Boi Bumba Show
As anticipation mounts, you are escorted to the seating area to enjoy this exclusive Silversea presentation, a taste of Amazonian folklore, a Boi Bumba Show, exhibited in song and dance, with the performers celebrating the joy of life in a mesmerizing and rhythmic display. The show duration is approximately 60 minutes.
Witness how the people of Parintins exude a vibrant glow of beauty, happiness and pride in their culture as they carry on a part of their rich tradition that is rooted in a 19th-century fable. Similar in intensity and fanatic fervor to Rio's Carnival, the Boi-Bumba, meaning Bull Dance, is a three-day event held annually here in Parintins. The festival doubles the population of this usually sleepy town and is held in the stadium called Bumbórdromo, which holds 35,000 people.
At the conclusion of this exclusive presentation, take advantage of the opportunity to appreciate the lavishly designed costumes, and possibly meet some of the performers.
Still energized by the show's exhilarating theatrics, take the return walk to the pier or explore independently on your own the numerous souvenir stalls of local handcrafts located in the pier area.
Please note: This tour involves a minimal amount of walking, and is suitable for guests with limited mobility and guests who utilise a wheelchair. We recommend wearing comfortable walking shoes.
