Silversea Luxury Cruises A Navy Board Inlet, Nunavut

Navy Board Inlet, Nunavut

Navy Board Inlet is located completely inside the Sirmilik National Park and is the boundary between Bylot Island and the northern reaches of Baffin Island. It harbors large populations of Thick-billed Murres (known as Brünnich’s Guillemots in Europe) and noisy Black-legged Kittiwakes. The southwest corner of nearby Bylot Island is steeped in moist lowland tundra that is ideal nesting habitat for waterfowl, shorebirds and songbirds. View more

While more than 70 different species of birds can be found on Bylot Island including the Canadian High Arctic’s largest breeding colony of Greater Snow Geese, the icy waters are home to seals, walrus, narwhal, and beluga whales.
