Depart the pier for the short, scenic drive along the Itajai Aiu River en route to Blumenau. As you approach the city, immediately notice the powerful European influence on its stunning architecture, some of which dates back to the 1800s. Upon arrival, a visit is made to a 'biergarten' and the Colonial Family Museum. During your guided museum tour, learn about the German traditions that have left an indelible imprint on the culture of this unique town, as well as the importance of German heritage in 19th-century southern Brazil.
Lunch and Vila Germanica
Next, re-board your coach and proceed for a Brazilian buffet lunch at the nearby Altaliba restaurant. After lunch, head to Vila Germanica, home to an annual Oktoberfest that ranks among Brazil's biggest celebrations. Upon arrival, some free time is made available to soak in your surroundings, browse the local shops or perhaps treat yourself to one of the myriad of brews offered at a host of famous local microbreweries. At the conclusion of your visit, re-board your coach and commence the short drive back to the pier.

Depart the pier for the scenic, approximately 30-minute drive to Camboriu, a much-beloved beach resort consisting of two beaches equal in beauty, and famously connected by cable car. Upon arrival, drive along picturesque Atlantic Avenue en route to Unipraias Park and the famous Barra Sul Cable Car Station.

Upon arrival at the cable car station, board a cable car for an incredibly panoramic ride over the sea and up to the Atlantic Forest. Here, take a guided trek along one of its ecological trails on-foot. Designated an UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve, this area is home to many endangered species; look for marmosets or maybe a lion tamarin, a monkey named for its lion-like mane.
Following your nature trek in Unipraias Park, return to your cable car and continue on to Laranjeiras Station. Upon arrival, re-board your coach and commence the approximately 40-minute drive back to the pier.

Depart the pier for the scenic, approximately 30-minute ride to Camboriu, a major beach resort city in the Brazilian southern state of Santa Catarina. The city, with its steep hills dropping down to the sea, is popular amongst South Americans and famous for its unique cable car, which links the city's central beach and beach of Laranjeiras. The drop-off point for your leisurely visit is at the Ilha da Medeira Hotel, located on Avenida Brasil, one of the most famous and lively avenues in the city. Upon arrival, begin your self-guided visit.
Aveneda Brasil, Shopping, Restaurants, Beach, and Swimming
Bustling Avenida Brasil is lined with shops and restaurants. You may opt to browse the shops for souvenirs, and/or dine at your own expense. Since Avenida Brasil is just one block from the beach, you may opt to take a stroll here and swim in the ocean, or simply relax and sunbathe on the inviting, white-sand beach. At the conclusion of your visit, return to the Ilha de Medeira Hotel and re-board your awaiting coach, then commence the approximately 30-minute drive back to the pier.
