Located on the north-eastern shore of Cuba, Antilla, located in Holguin Province, was established in 1907 as a port town and railroad terminal. Today, Antilla is a sleepy town (population approx. 12,500) that serves as the gateway to the much more urban city of Holguin (population 1.5 million).
