Experience the true essence of romance during a memorable, early-evening gondola cruise along the magical canals of Venice; an absolute must for any visitor to this enchanting city.
Depart the pier via motorboat for the ride across the Giudecca Canal en route to a pier near St. Mark's Square.
Upon arrival, take a short walk to the gondola landing stage and board one of these beautiful hand-painted boats, lovingly cared for by their owners and a source of great pride for them.
Gondola Ride
Although this cruise is non-narrated, the scenery speaks for itself as your gondolier traverses the narrow canals crossed by stone bridges and glides past balconied waterfront buildings. During your 30 to 35-minute ride, listen to musical serenade from a singer on board one of the gondolas in your flotilla.
Following this memorable gondola ride, enjoy a drink in the romantic atmosphere of Saint Mark's area before re-joining your motorboat for the ride back to the pier.
Please note: This tour involves a moderate amount of walking of approximately 15-20 minutes including the walking over four bridges to the gondola station. Guests must be reasonably agile, and able to embark and disembark vessels that sit low in the water. It is solely up to the Gondolier to refuse boarding to anybody he seems is not able to enter and exit the Gondola without any assistants. Should this be case, no refunds will be given due to that. This tour is not recommended for guests with limited mobility, walking difficulties and is not wheelchair-accessible. Casual clothing and flat, comfortable walking shoes are recommended. Please note that the price is per gondola and is valid for two guests.
Please note: Embarking guests can participate to this excursion. Please be advised that the departure time of the tour will be 5:30pm and your embarkation procedures will have to be completed before that.

Discover why the heart of Venice is known as La Serenissima during this half-day tour of the Doge's Palace, St. Mark's Square and Basilica, and a glass showroom. A UNESCO World Heritage property, the city of Venice and its lagoon is in the Veneto Region of Northeast Italy. Founded in the 5th century AD and spread over 118 small islands, Venice became a major maritime power in the 10th century
Depart the pier for a brief transfer via private motorboat to the exquisite Piazza San Marco.
Doge's Palace
Upon arrival, your awaiting guides escort you for a visit to the grand Doge Palace, or 'Palazzo Ducale', originally a square, fortress-like building with high walls, corner towers, and fortified gates. The building, a masterpiece of Gothic architecture, is an accumulation of layer-upon-layer of building work and ornamentation that includes the original foundations, the 14th-15th-century structure, sizeable Renaissance additions and opulent Mannerist details.
During your visit, see a number of paintings by some of the greatest 16th-century masters, illustrating the historical events of the Serenissima Republic. Once the Doge's residence and the seat of the Venetian government and tribunal, the palace contained courtrooms and dungeons.
Ponte Dei Sospiri
Adjoining the palace is the famous Ponte dei Sospiri, or 'Bridge of Sighs'. This legendary structure connects the palace to the former ducal prison. Today, it is a favourite rendezvous of lovers who believe that if they kiss under the bridge, their love will last forever.
Continuing on, see the stately public buildings and elegant cafés of the piazza 'par excellence', which is wonderfully-animated by people, music and pigeons. The clock tower is topped by two bronze Moors who hammer out the time, and opposite is the 300-foot-tall (90 metre) Campanile overlooking the city.
St. Mark's Cathedral
Next, visit St. Mark's Cathedral, or 'Basilica di San Marco'. Due to certain restrictions inside St. Mark's Cathedral, your guide provides detailed narration before you enter. Named after St. Mark, the patron saint of the city, this impressive cathedral has foundations dating back to the 9th century. Venice's gateway between the Orient and the West is reflected in its Oriental design elements, which can also be found on two basilicas in Constantinople. On Sundays, or in the case of unexpected religious functions, only an exterior viewing is possible.
Glass Showroom
Leaving St. Mark's Cathedral, proceed to a local glass showroom. Upon arrival, observe a brief demonstration of artisans at work and learn the ancient methods and fascinating secrets used in creating beautiful pieces of art. Following the demonstration, you may visit the glass showrooms and have an opportunity to purchase authentic Venetian glassware.
At the conclusion of the tour, you may opt to stay in town for further exploration and return to the ship independently, or return to the motorboat for the transfer back to pier.
Please note: This tour requires an extensive amount of walking with bridges to climb and many stairs to negotiate at the Doge's Palace. This tour is not recommended for guests with limited mobility or those who utilise a wheelchair. Flat, comfortable walking shoes are recommended. Due to certain restrictions inside St. Mark's Cathedral, your guide will provide detailed narration before you enter. Because only one group may enter at a time, there may be a considerable wait outside. Tour groups are not permitted inside St. Mark's Basilica during services on Sundays and church holidays. However, time permitting and if the church permits, entry may be allowed on an individual basis to view the interior quietly and reverently. Your guide will not be allowed to enter with you. Tour cannot enter the cathedral in the case of particularly high tide that blocks the main entrance of the cathedral. No refund is foreseen in case of cathedral closure and outside visit.
Conservative dress is required to enter the basilica; ladies must cover their knees and shoulders, and gentlemen must wear pants. For security reasons large bags and backpacks must be delivered in a checkroom before entering the venues. Guests are highly recommended not to bring such items with them during this excursion, in order to avoid any inconvenience and loss of time. Photography is not permitted in St. Mark's Basilica and Doge's Palace. The order of sights visited may vary.
Experience the centuries-old glass-blowing and lace production traditions of Venice during this picturesque sightseeing tour of Murano and Burano. The island of Murano became famous in 1291, the year in which the glass production was transferred here from the old city centre due to fear of fires in the kilns. Burano is one of the prettiest islands in the lagoon: it is a miniature Venice where all the houses are painted in bright colors. Burano is famous for its lace work, an art carried out since the sixteenth century and which is famous worldwide.
The Venetian lagoon, created by the estuaries of three rivers and separated from the Adriatic by a row of sandbars, is approximately 32 miles (51 kilometres) long. Venice lays in the centre, along with some 40 other islands in the lagoon. Nearly half of them are deserted, and some house market gardens or sanatoriums.
Depart the pier via motorboat for a cruise along the lagoon en route to the island of Murano.
Murano
In 1291, when furnaces were banned from Venice as a fire precaution, the manufacture of exquisite glassware was transferred to Murano. During Murano's Golden Age in the 16th century, the island supported some 37 glass factories and a population of 30,000. Since glassware was one of few Venetian exports, its secrets were closely guarded. Although its production is no longer a mystery, Murano's products are still renowned for their elegant artistry. During a visit to a leading glass factory, witness the masters of this delicate craft at work during a brief demonstration of this fascinating process. Afterward, some free time is made available for independent shopping and an opportunity to acquire some of this timeless art.
Burano
Continue on to the island of Burano, where beautifully painted houses adorn this small and cheerful fishing village. The banks of the canals are lined with fishing dories, and the setting is picturesque indeed. Next to the 16th-century Church of San Martino is the curiously-tilted campanile. In the 16th century, the island was renowned throughout Europe for producing the finest lace in the world. Although not a popular craft these days, lacemaking is still practised by some of the local women.
Following your visit, re-board your motorboat for the ride back to the pier.
Please note: This tour requires an extensive amount of walking. Although many sights are wheelchair accessible, guests must be able to embark and disembark motor launches that sit low in the water. Casual attire and flat, comfortable walking shoes are recommended. The order of sites visited may vary. A minimum number of participants are required for this tour to operate. We suggest you book early to avoid disappointment.
Discover the wonderful Old World architecture and scenic landmarks not typically encountered by visitors to Venice during this scenic sightseeing tour. Venice is renowned for the beauty of its setting, its architecture and its artwork. The city in its entirety is listed as a World Heritage Site along with its lagoon.
Campo Santa Margherita
Depart on foot from the pier and walk along the Fondamenta di San Basilio to reach Campo Santa Margherita, lively animated during weekdays by fresh fruit stands and a small fish market in the morning. Because many visitors to Venice catch only a brief glimpse of what the city has to offer, this excursion features a number of additional sights that reveal what lies behind its glittering façade. In a short distance you will reach Campo San Rocco.
Campo San Rocco
Your walking tour continues on for an exterior visit to Campo San Rocco to view the church and Scuola Grande di San Rocco. Founded in 1478 under the protection of St. Roch, the Patron Saint of plague victims, this was one of the great charitable institutions of the Venetian Renaissance. The interior houses some of the most important Italian paintings created by Tintoretto.
Church of Santa Maria Gloriosa Dei Frari
Just a few steps away, an inside visit is made to the Franciscan friars' Church of Santa Maria Gloriosa dei Frari. This Gothic church is a stunning vestige of ancient Venetian glory, and contains masterpieces by Bellini and Titian. On Sundays, or in the case of unexpected religious functions, only an exterior viewing is possible.
Campo San Polo
Leaving the church, proceed to Campo San Polo, one of the largest squares in Venice and home to theatrical performances. Pass Campo San Tomá and the Goldoni House, where the famous 18th-century Venetian playwright Carlo Goldoni was born. Today, it is a theatre and museum.
Rialto Bridge
Next, continue through narrow pedestrian walkways to the Rialto Bridge. Originally built from wood in 1172 A.D., this is the largest and most famous of the four bridges that span the Grand Canal. As you cross, be sure to have your camera ready to take memorable photos from both the waterfront and the top of the bridge.
At a local café, enjoy refreshing juice or coffee and a Venetian biscuit while you soak up the delightful atmosphere of Campo San Giovanni & Paolo, followed by some free time to explore the area independently. Your guided tour ends here.
Greek Orthodox District
Along with your escort, meander through the winding streets and small courtyards of the old Greek Orthodox District or Riva degli Schiavoni
Following your tour, your tour escort directs you to the motorboat for the ride back to the ship.
Please note: This tour involves an extensive amount of walking and many bridges to climb, and is not recommended for guests with limited mobility or those who utilise a wheelchair. Flat, comfortable walking shoes are recommended. Headsets to connect the guide to guests are included in the tour. Conservative dress is required to enter the Church of Frari; ladies must cover their knees and shoulders, and gentlemen must wear pants. Photography is not permitted inside the church. Tour groups are not permitted inside the Church of Frari on Sundays and church holidays, an outside visit is scheduled. However, time permitting and if the church allows, entry may be possible on an individual basis to view the interior quietly and reverently. Your guide will not be able to enter with you. The order of sites visited may vary.

Learn that later, in the 12th century, Benedictine monks built a monastery on the island, which they had occupied for over 600 years. See the remains of a historic monastery, large parts of which were converted into a residence for the Maximillian, Emperor of Mexico, who has owned the island since the 19th century. Ragusa Ibla, St. George's Church, Giardino Ibleo Garden and Church of St. James the Apostle
Depart the pier for the scenic, approximately 1.5-hour drive to Ragusa Ibla, the Old Town and an UNESCO World Heritage Site. Ragusa Ibla is the hub from which the city of Ragusa developed. Along the way, see highlights that include St. George's Church with its impressive Baroque façade and bell tower, the 19th-century Giardino Ibleo Garden and 14th-century Church of St. James the Apostle, which was rebuilt in the 18th century. The impressive Cathedral was built between 1706 and 1760, and stands on a wide terrace on a loggia overlooking the central Piazza San Giovanni. Explore the unique flavours and sights of Marsala during this scenic visit to the city, and brunch and a wine-tasting at a local wine farm. Marsala is a coastal town in western Sicily with ancient origins closely tied with those of an unusual archaeological site nearby, the little island of Mozia, also known as San Pantaleo. Mozia was an important colonial stronghold of Carthage in North Africa, itself an early colony of the Phoenician people.
Depart the pier for the approximate one-hour drive to Marsala along the salt road, or 'via del sal'. En route, a photo stop is made to capture the famous 'Saline' salt pan and windmills. The drive to Marsala also offers panoramic vistas of Mozia Island. Due to its location near the coast, Mozia became a key trade city, and one of the most important Phoenician and Carthaginian settlements in the Mediterranean.
Marsala
Marsala is situated on Cape Boeo at the westernmost end of the island. Phoenician refugees founded Marsala after the destruction of Mozia by Dionysius I of Syracuse. The Romans, Vandals and Byzantines subsequently dominated the city. It was occupied by the Muslims and renamed the Port of Allah, or 'Marsa-Allah'. In 1072, the Normans' overtook Marsala, rebuilt the castle, and constructed churches and convents.
Regional Museum
Your walking tour of this ancient city features a visit to the town centre and Regional Museum, which is part of the Archaeological Park of Lilybaeum. The museum houses a famous Punic warship, along with archaeological remains documenting Lilybaeum's history and environs from the Prehistoric Era to the Middle-Ages.
Cantine Florio
Marsala is also renowned for the wine named after it. A stop for brunch at the Cantine Florio, a local wine farm, includes Sicilian specialities accompanied by a variety of local wines, including Marsala wine.
Ligny Tower
After brunch, re-board your coach for the approximate one-hour return drive to Trapani. En route, a photo stop is made at Ligny Tower, or 'Torri de Ligny', a massive, quadrangular tower built by Prince di Ligny in 1671. One of the city's most beautiful panoramic viewpoints, the Ligny Tower offers splendid vistas of the Egadi, Lazzaretto and Torre della Colombaia islands in the distance. Following your photo stop, re-board your coach and return to the pier.
Please note: This tour requires a moderate amount of walking for approximately 800 metres (.50 mile), at times over uneven terrain and cobblestones, with steps to negotiate at the museum. This tour is suitable for guests with limited mobility, however it is not recommended for guests who utilise a wheelchair. We recommend wearing comfortable clothing, walking shoes and sun protection. Order of sites visited may vary.
Embrace the Medieval beauty of one of Sicily's most impregnable hilltop fortifications during this half-day journey to Erice. Erice is in such a spectacular, naturally fortified position high above the natural harbour of Trapani, that it is not surprising that the site has been occupied for millennia.
Depart the pier for the scenic, approximate one-hour drive to Erice, a lovely town perched on an isolated hill north of Trapani. The drive takes place along a road with numerous steep bends.
Erice
This small medieval town was founded in 415 B.C., and renowned in ancient times as an important sanctuary of Venus. Although it is often shrouded in mist due to its hilltop location, Erice offers splendid views of the sea and Egadi Islands.
The Walls
Erice's Norman-style influences are reflected in its imposing towers and fortifications. During your walking tour, see the walls that stretch from Porta Spada to Porta Trapani that protect the only side of the hill with no natural defenses. On all other sides, the sheer rock face made the town one of the most impregnable fortresses on the island.
Balio Gardens
Next, proceed for a visit to the English-style Balio Gardens. These delightful gardens were laid out in 1870 by Count Pepoli, and feature a monumental entrance with a double staircase.
Venus Castle
The last stop on your walking tour is the Venus Castle. Built on the site of the original Temple of Venus, the castle offers magnificent panoramic views and the remains of the Venus Temple.
Following your guided visit, some free time is made available for you to browse the shops before re-boarding your coach for the approximate one-hour return drive to the pier.
En route, make a photo stop at the famous 'Saline' salt pan and take an orientation drive through Trapani.
Please note: This tour requires an extensive amount of walking, at times on cobblestones that can be slippery when wet. Approximate distance covered on foot is 1500m (1 mile). This tour is not recommended for guests with limited mobility and guests who utilise a wheelchair. We recommend wearing comfortable clothing, flat walking shoes and sun protection.
Experience Trapani's scenic beauty, historic sights and unique flavours during a sightseeing tour of the town, and a tasting at an olive oil farm. Hugging the harbour where Peter of Aragon landed in 1282 to begin the Spanish occupation of Sicily, the sickle-shaped spit of land occupied by Trapani's Old Town once sat at the heart of a powerful trading network that stretched from Carthage to Venice.
Depart the pier for a sightseeing drive through Trapani, followed by a stop at the Ligny Tower, or 'Torri de Ligny'.
Ligny Tower
This massive, quadrangular tower was built by Prince di Ligny in 1671. One of the city's most beautiful panoramic viewpoints, the Ligny Tower offers splendid vistas of the Egadi, Lazzaretto and Torre della Colombaia islands in the distance.

En route, take a brief sightseeing drive through Trapani's city centre and stop for photos at the Ligny Tower, or 'Torri de Ligny', a massive, quadrangular tower built by Prince di Ligny in 1671. One of the city's most beautiful panoramic viewpoints, the Ligny Tower offers splendid vistas of the Egadi, Lazzaretto and Torre della Colombaia islands in the distance.
Segesta
Called 'Egesta' by the Greeks and 'Segesta' by the Romans, the city was, with Erice and Entella, one of the most advanced centres of the ancient Elymian civilisation (a combination of the Trojans and Phoenicians, who mixed with the Sicans of western Sicily). The city stood on a vast plateau between the two peaks of Monte Barbaro, a very well-defended position. Likely built between the 5th and 4th centuries B.C., Segesta City was surrounded by walls of the Classic or Hellenistic Age.

Discover the island is rich with archaeological excavations and finds from what was an island city. Make a stop at the Whitaker Museum and view many beautiful relics that are well displayed here. Mozia, or Mothia, was founded at the end of the 8th century B.C. on the island of San Pantaleo, situated at the centre of a large lagoon, known today as Stagnone, or big pond.

The lack of later development allows modern visitors to imagine the ancient town of Selinus as it would have been two and a half thousand years ago.

Arriving at Selinus, you will discover the remains of a city founded by the Greeks in the mid-7th century. Visit the remnants of three impressive temples that once graced the site. The first is Temple E, dating back to the 5th century BC and rebuilt in 1958. To the right stands Temple F, lying completely in ruins. Archaeologists believed that Temple G was dedicated to Zeus, and was among the largest of its type in the ancient world. Each of its columns weighs several tons. The surrounding rubble gives some indication of its immense size. You will also explore the Acropolis with your guide. It was partially rebuilt in 1925, and was dominated the columns of Temple C (6th century BC).
Re-board the motor coach for a scenic drive back to the pier.
Please note: This tour requires a moderate amount of walking for approximately 1000m (.65 miles) on uneven ground at times. This tour is not suitable for guests with limited mobility and guests who utilise a wheelchair. We recommend wearing comfortable clothing, flat walking shoes and sun protection.

Experience a taste of life on the 'Island of Dreams' during this full-day excursion to Capri. Capri's beguiling combination of fabled beauty and hedonism has charmed Roman emperors, Russian revolutionaries and Hollywood stars for decades. It's the perfect microcosm of Mediterranean appeal - a smooth cocktail of chichi piazzas and cool cafes, Roman ruins and rugged seascapes.
On the southern edge of the Gulf of Naples lies the Isle of Capri, often called the 'Island of Dreams'. Roman emperors Augustus and Tiberius found peace and beauty here, as have the many celebrities who have visited the island. Upon seeing Capri's impressive cliffs and brightly-coloured villas, it's easy to understand the island's universal appeal.
Capri
After meeting your guide on the pier, walk to the hydrofoil/ferry terminal and embark your hydrofoil/ferry for the scenic cruise to the beautiful 'Blue Island' of Capri. Upon arrival at Capri's Marina Grande, walk to the mini-bus station, then depart for the drive to the upper village of Ana Capri. The drive is via a winding road, and offers magnificent views of the island and the nearby gulf.
Ana Capri
While in Ana Capri, browse the many shops or explore some of the main attractions. Visit the famous Villa San Michelle, or take a ride on the chair-lift to Monte Solaro, the highest point on the island and a favourite of Emperor Augustus. Ample time is made available for lunch in one of the hotels or seaside cafés (al fresco dining is recommended). Next, re-board the mini-bus for the brief drive to lovely Capri Town.
Capri Town
While in Capri Town, feel free to explore the town on your own or follow the guide on the short walk to the Augustus Gardens. From the park's spectacular vantage-point, view the Marina Piccola and the legendary Faraglioni Rocks, three enormous rocks that protrude from the blue waters of the Tyrrhenian Sea. Leaving the Augustus Gardens, approximately two hours is yours to have lunch on your own, visit the famous shopping street of Via Camerelle or wander through the central square; or 'Piazzetta'.
Following your visit, re-board the mini-bus for the transfer to the Marina Grande, then embark the hydrofoil for the return ride to Sorrento. Upon arrival at the hydrofoil terminal walk back to the pier and re-board the ship.

The museum gives also the opportunity of assisting the handmade paper production and the functioning of the ancient water-mills, moved by the waters of the Canneto torrent.

The famous archaeological site of Pompeii is regarded as the world's finest example of an ancient Roman town, and offers visitors an insight into the life of a bygone era. Upon arrival in Pompeii, special headsets are provided to show you Pompeii as it once was, immersing you in a 360º, 3-D world that brings this ancient city to life at each point-of-interest.

Along the way, see the mansions and artwork of the wealthy residents who moved to Pompeii to escape the turmoil of Ancient Rome. On display are numerous paintings and inscriptions, including notices about wine sales, apartment vacancies, upcoming events, political announcements, and even personal love notes. Some of the mansions still retain their original marble decorations, well-preserved frescoes and splendid mosaics.

Amalfi
Amalfi is a romantic, Moorish-style resort town overlooking the Bay of Salerno at the foot of the steep Lattari Hills. In the centre of the town stands the 11th-century Cathedral of St. Andrew, said to hold the remains of the apostle. Distinctive for its black-and-white facade and its mosaics, the building features bronze doors cast in Constantinople in 1066 and a bell tower dating to the 13th century.
Upon arrival, your guide leads you to the main square, the Piazza del Duomo pointing out the main highlights, including the cathedral along the way. The next two hours are yours to explore the narrow alleyways lined with shops and boutiques and enjoy free time and lunch at any one of its many cafés on your own.
At the designated time, re-board the coach at the meeting area for the return drive to Sorrento via Vietri sul Mare.
Please note: This tour requires a moderate amount of walking, some of which is up/down inclines and over uneven surfaces. The majority of walking is at each guest's discretion and this tour is suitable for guests with limited mobility. Guests must be able to get on/off the coach by climbing steps; wear flat comfortable walking shoes. There are numerous hairpin turns along the Amalfi drive, therefore, this tour is not recommended for guests who are affected by motion sickness. Guests are responsible for ensuring they are on time for the return to Sorrento, otherwise, they will be required to make their own way to the ship at their expense.
Treat yourself to the beauty and wonder of the world-renowned Amalfi Coast on this outing that includes a visit to Ravello, Positano and lunch at the famous 5-Star San Pietro Hotel. Positano is the Coast's most picturesque and photogenic town; with vertiginous houses tumbling down to the sea in a cascade of sun-bleached peach, pink and terracotta colours. No less colourful are its steep streets and steps lined with wisteria-draped hotels, smart restaurants and fashionable boutiques.
Depart the pier and board a private minibus for the scenic, one-hour drive along the spectacular Amalfi Coast to Ravello and Positano. The narrow road winds along the side of rocky seaside cliffs, and offers breath-taking views of the Italian Riviera. Marvel at the rocks rising from the sea, and see small boats in sheltered sandy coves that look like brightly-coloured toys from above. During the journey, a brief photo stop is made overlooking the lovely village of Positano.
Ravello
Visit the exterior of its ornate cathedral, founded in 1086, which contains two medieval pulpits, Roman sarcophagi and paintings by southern Renaissance artist Andrea da Salerno. Your visit concludes with a stop at Villa Rufolo and the garden that inspired Richard Wagner to develop the magical garden of Kilingsor in the second act of Parsifal
Positano
Upon arrival in Positano, a short walk brings you to the city's main centre. Following a brief introductory tour, continue exploring on your own or browse the designer boutiques, souvenir shops and art galleries found along the main street and some narrow alleys.
Once a small fishing village, Positano is now the star attraction of the entire Amalfi coast. White Moorish-type houses cling dramatically to slopes around a small sheltered bay. Many of the houses can only be reached via steep staircases. A 1.5-hour visit allows you to take in the unique setting and special ambience of Positano. At the appointed time, re-join your guide and walk back to the minibus pick-up point for the drive to your lunch reservation.
San Pietro Hotel
Located a short distance south of Positano, the hotel takes its name from a cliff-side chapel. Entrance to the hotel is by elevator. Here, in this ultimate secluded spot frequented by the most discerning clientele, a three-course lunch awaits you. After lunch, some free time is made available to look around this romantic site and take in the breath-taking vistas.
Leaving the hotel, return to Sorrento via the same stretch of Amalfi Drive. Upon arrival in Sorrento, you may opt to return directly to the pier, or remain in the main centre for independent exploration and return to the ship on a later shuttle (time permitting), or find their own way back at their own expense.
Please note: This tour requires a moderate amount of walking uphill. Positano's main centre is pedestrian-only, and involves downhill and uphill walking over uneven surfaces, with stairs to negotiate. However, additional walking is at guests' discretion during the free time allotted in Positano. Comfortable shoes are recommended. If the San Pietro Hotel is not available, lunch will be served at another five-star hotel in Positano. Due to the nature of the Amalfi Drive, this tour operates in compact mini-buses; air-conditioning may not be as effective as in large coaches, and several trips may be necessary to assemble the group. The total time spent in Positano is approximately 1.5 hours. A minimum number of participants are required to operate. This tour is not suitable for children under 12. Indulge your senses with the beauty of the Italian Riviera, Portofino and Santa Margherita during this picturesque, full-day sightseeing excursion.
Santa Margherita and Cruise to Portofino
Depart the pier for the scenic, approximately two-hour drive to Santa Margherita. Upon arrival, embark your boat for the short coastal cruise to Portofino. Through the centuries, Portofino functioned primarily as a fishing village and, occasionally, a small naval port. Today, it is a classy resort-village. Portofino's tiny bay is neatly-packed with pricey yachts, common pleasure boats and, as a vestige of its past, some fishing boats.
Free Time in Portofino, Colourful Buildings and Green Hillsides
Upon arrival in Portofino, ample free time is made available to explore the village at your leisure. The waterfront is lined with multi-coloured pastel buildings, lovely shops, canopied outdoor cafes and a quay that's ideal for a scenic stroll. Its surrounding hills are dotted with bougainvillea-garnished villas owned by the rich and famous. Photo opportunities abound at virtually every turn. The town is striking, with its brightly-coloured antique buildings hovering over sparkling blue water. The luxuriant green hillsides of the Portofino Promontory surrounding the town are equally stunning.
Flora and Fauna, Church of San Giorgio and Portofino Lighthouse
A very pleasant walk heads up to the right as you face the harbour. Located here is a very attractive walking path through one of the largest concentrations of flora and fauna in the Mediterranean. A walk up the hill to the Church of San Giorgio offers spectacular views of the entire bay and Tigullian Gulf. Perched high above the town, this church contains relics of St. George brought over by crusaders from the Holy Land. From here, you can walk to another great lookout point at the Punto del Capo, the Portofino Lighthouse.
Return Cruise to Santa Margherita and Free Time
Following your visit to Portofino, embark your boat for the cruise back to Santa Margherita. One of the most important towns of the Levante Riviera, Santa Margherita is an elegant international tourist destination with a unique atmosphere. Nestled around the port, its special charm lies in the unusual mix of Nautical and Belle Epoque styles. Upon arrival, some free time is made available to explore the charming waterfront independently. At the conclusion of your visit, re-board your coach and commence the approximately two-hour drive back to the pier.
Please note: This tour involves a moderate amount of walking for approximately 0.6 miles (about one kilometre), at times over cobblestone surfaces and inclines, with a few steps to negotiate to get on/off the coach and embark/disembark the boat. Walking in Portofino and Santa Margherita is at the discretion of each guest. This tour is not suitable for guests prone to seasickness, guests with limited mobility and guests who utilise a wheelchair. Lightweight, comfortable clothing with flat, closed-toe walking shoes and sun protection are recommended. Operation of this tour is subject to weather conditions.
Indulge your senses with one of the most beautiful natural sights in Italy during this scenic boating excursion along the Cinque Terre.
Cinque Terre
After meeting your guide at the tender pier, walk to your boat and commence your picturesque, one-hour coastal cruise to Vernazza. En route, take in the scenic beauty of the Cinque Terre (Five Villages). Tall cliffs dropping down into the cobalt-blue sea, intimate beaches at Riomaggiore and Vernazza, and tiny ports like Manarola highlight the harsh, wild landscape of this UNESCO World Heritage Site. Today, the Cinque Terre is also a National Park and protected marine area.
Vernazza
Disembark your motor launch in Vernazza, take a guided tour of this noble and elegant village, which is located on a steep cliff and adorned with loggias and refined arcades. Afterward, some free time is made available to explore Vernazza at your leisure before embarking the boat for the cruise to Monterosso.
Monterosso
The Medieval centre of Monterosso has remained perfectly preserved, with its tower-houses and narrow alleys, or 'carrugi'. The old section of Monterosso also remains unchanged, and maintains the same look and feel of the other villages of the Cinque Terre. During your guided tour of Monterosso, see the castle overlooking the sea and the Aurora Tower. Following your visit, commence the one-hour cruise back to the pier, with a snack of 'focaccia' accompanied by white wine en route.
Please note: This tour involves a moderate amount of walking for approximately 765 yards (about 700 metres), and a total of approximately 15 steps to negotiate at the port and churches. This tour is not suitable for guests prone to seasickness, guests with limited mobility and guests who utilise a wheelchair. Guests are advised to wear lightweight, comfortable clothing, and bring sunscreen, a hat and sunglasses from the ship. A strict dress code is observed at the churches; shorts and tank-tops are not permitted inside. Operation of this tour is subject to weather conditions. The tour sequence may vary. The time spent at certain venues may be increased/reduced, and other brief stops may be added. Please note the local boats used to transfer guests to 5 terre are basic, these simple boats are infact the only type available to transfer guests to 5 terre.

Discover the picturesque beauty and historic past of Nice during a tour of the Old City, and a visit to the medieval village of Eze.
Nice
Depart the pier for the scenic drive along the Promenade des Anglais, a splendid, palm-lined boulevard stretching for three miles along the Baie des Anges. Pass by landmarks that include the legendary 'Negresco', an imposing hotel with a rococo façade, and the Russian Orthodox Cathedral. It was built with pink bricks, light grey marble and bright ceramics crowned by six onion-shaped domes that give the city an exotic touch.
Next, a visit is made to the Old City. Here, tall houses tightly-packed across narrow streets are often festooned with bright flowers or hanging laundry, and designed to provide shade and keep the streets cool during the long, hot summers. Upon arrival, take a leisurely stroll along the Cours Saleya, the elegant promenade of Old Nice, which is now lined with shops, restaurants and the famous flower market.
Eze
Leaving Nice by way of the Middle Corniche, take in superb scenic views of Nice during the drive to the medieval village of Eze, perched on a rocky promontory overlooking the coast. Upon arrival, walk up to and through the 14th-century double gateway. A sentry walk leads into the steep and narrow streets, passageways and stairways. At times, the streets run beneath the carefully-restored houses that now serve as smart boutiques or artist's studios.
Following your visit, re-board your coach for the drive to the Nice airport.
Please note: This tour involves an extensive amount of walking, at times on hills and cobblestone streets, and is not recommended for guests with limited mobility and guests who utilise a wheelchair. We recommend wearing comfortable clothing, walking shoes and bring sun protection. This tour is recommended only for guests with flights after 15:00.

Guided tours will show you the treasures of these medieval villages, both set high atop the rocky hillsides that dominate this landscape.

Once inside, you will discover a small Provencal village filled with charm and colorful window boxes, offering a panoramic view of the sea and coast-line.
St. Paul de Vence
Continue your journey to this ancient hilltop village's medieval atmosphere and view first-hand how well and perfectly preserved it is. Narrow streets are flanked by 16th-century houses, most of which are now occupied by gift shops and art galleries. During the guided walking tour, stroll about the crooked lanes and see the remarkable remains of the 12th-century Gothic church. Enjoy some free time for shopping.

History
From 1638 the building, originally belonging to the Dandolo family, hosted the first "Ridotto Pubblico", a place to which nobility and people from all walks of life, (adventurers, courtesans, swindlers, and travellers) would retire for pleasure and intrigue. Giacomo Casanova considered this place the ideal backdrop for his conquests. The recent restoration has managed to revive, with a contemporary feel, the atmosphere of this historic building. It is a romantic setting for an unforgettable holiday. Guests can stay in the fascinating hall of the historic "Sala del Ridotto", which has been recently restored. The Sala del Ridotto is also available for private receptions and business meetings.

Many hotels claim to have a world-class art collection but in the case of the stunning Le Negresco, it is utterly true-and then some. Works by Moretti, Dalí and sculptress Niki de Saint-Phalle are strikingly mixed in with the interiors' rare antiques and historical paintings. Owner Jeanne Augier is an art connoisseur who amassed a museum-worthy collection here (the Negresco has been family-owned for more than fifty years). The striking pink-and-white building itself, complete with a domed tower, is a National Historic Monument and faces the Bay of Angels. Guests inspired by the art here can visit such nearby museums as Musée Matisse and Musée National Marc Chagall.
