Otter Bay is on the western side of North Pender Island, There are two islands, North Pender and South Pender, separated by a narrow canal. Today, the islands are connected by a one-lane bridge. The island’s farmlands, rolling forested hills, lakes, small mountains, and many coves and beaches make it a beautiful destination. At the time of European contact, Coast Salish peoples inhabited Pender Island.
