Depart the pier for the scenic, approximately 40-minute drive along the southwest coast of Martinique to the Clement Plantation, home of the Pagerie Museum. En route, take in the breath-taking panoramic vistas of the coast and blue Caribbean Sea, and pass by the coastal village of Trois Ilets. Upon arrival at the Clement Plantation, take a guided tour of the Pagerie Museum. Learn about this fascinating, 18th-century property, where the Empress Josephine lived the first 16 years of her life before becoming the Empress of France.


Le Francois, Plantation House, and Rum Distillery Tour and Tasting

Next, re-board your coach and head inland to the city of Le Francois. Upon arrival, visit an exceptionally-well-maintained Plantation House, the site of a 1991 meeting between former French President Francois Mitterand and George H.W. Bush. The house is nicely appointed, with authentic, Old World furniture and décor. Following your tour, proceed to the park for a look at the sugar cane fields, and a tour and tasting at the onsite Rum Distillery. At the conclusion of your visit, re-board your coach and commence the approximately 45-minute drive back to the pier.


Please note: This tour involves a moderate amount of walking for approximately 875 yards (about 800 metres), at times over rocky and uneven surfaces and inclines, with a few steps to negotiate to get on/off the coach, and at the Clement Foundation and Pagerie Museum. This tour is not suitable for guests prone to motion-sickness, guests with limited mobility and guests who utilise a wheelchair. Southern Coast Catamaran Sail and Diamond Rock

Depart the pier aboard a catamaran for a scenic and narrated, two-hour sailing adventure along the southern coast of Martinique. Along the way, sail around the famous Diamond Rock, see the most important areas, and learn about the local sites and history.


Anse Chaudière, Anse Noire, Swimming, Snorkelling, and Creole Lunch

After turning around Diamond Rock, a stop is made at Anse Chaudière for guided swimming and snorkelling in the crystal-clear water, and a Creole lunch served on board. After lunch, set sail to Anse Noire. Upon arrival, a stop is made at the Bat Cave for an afternoon swim, and an opportunity to explore the undersea beauty of the coral reef during a second snorkelling session. At the conclusion of your visit, embark the boat and commence the approximately 30-minute ride back to the pier.


Please note: This tour involves a minimal amount of walking for approximately 55 yards (about 50 metres), at times over rocky surfaces, with a few steps to negotiate to embark/disembark the boat, and manoeuvre in-and-out of the boat. This tour is recommended for guests who are in good physical condition, and know how to swim. This tour is not suitable for pregnant guests, guests with neck/back problems, guests prone to motion-sickness, guests with limited mobility, and guests who utilise a wheelchair. Guests are advised to wear a swimsuit under a cover-up with beach shoes, and bring sun protection, a towel and change of clothing from the ship. Snorkelling equipment is provided. Changing facilities are available on board the boat. Waterproof cameras are highly recommended. Guests must be at least eight years old to participate on this tour. Guests must be at least 21 years old to be served alcoholic beverages. Guests may not snorkel if they have consumed alcoholic beverages. Operation of this tour is subject to weather conditions. Space on this tour is very limited; we suggest you book in advance to avoid disappointment.

Explore southern Martinique in an exciting new way during this picturesque, half-day sightseeing excursion via Jeep.


Riviere Pilote, and Trois Rivieres Rum Distillery Tour and Tasting

Depart the pier for the scenic, approximately 40-minute drive through the village of Riviere Pilote and along the scenic inland road to the rum distillery, Trois Rivieres. Upon arrival, take a guided tour of the distillery, then proceed for a rum tasting.


Pavillon Hill, Diamond Rock, Beach, and Anse Cafard Memorial

Next, re-board your coach and head to Diamond Village via panoramic Pavillon Hill, renowned for its rock and expansive, approximately 3.1-mile (about five-kilometre) beach. Upon arrival, a photo stop is made for splendid views of the Diamond Rock and Anse Cafard Memorial with its famous statues of convicts.


Petit Anse Village, Trois Ilets, Les Anses-d'Arlet, and Pottery Village

Afterward, re-board your coach and continue driving along the idyllic coast towards the village of Les Anses-d'Arlet. En route, stop by Petit Anse Village to learn about local fishing techniques. Afterward, re-board your coach and ascend 'Bigot Hill' for lovely views of the bay before passing the coastal village of Trois Ilets. Upon arrival at Les Anses-d'Arlet, proceed to Pottery Village, where some free time is made available for you to browse the local pottery, and arts and crafts. At the conclusion of your visit, re-board your coach and commence the approximately 30-minute drive back to the pier.

Lightweight, comfortable clothing with flat, closed-toe walking shoes and sun protection are recommended. Guests must be no taller than 76 inches (about 193 centimetres) to participate on this tour. For safety reasons, this tour is limited to guests whose fully-dressed weight is less than 240 pounds (about 109 kilograms). Guests may be weighed before participating on this tour. Guests must be at least eight years old to participate on this tour. Guests must be at least 21 years old to participate in tastings of alcoholic beverages. The tour sequence may vary.
