From the pier, you will be taken to the parking lot where the Buggy and safety equipment awaits you. Participate in a brief orientation before you continue your way to Punta Sur park-ecological reserve. Hop on the vehicle and follow your guide, caravan-style. Driving through the jungle road and sand paths, you will see salt water crocodiles in their natural environment, admire the historic Celarain lighthouse, and enjoy an exhibit at the marine navigation museum. Visit a Mayan ruin. Your next stop Punta Sur Bay a pristine snorkeling spot, surrounded by stunning white sand beach and crystal clear waters. Swim at one of the untouched and most shallow reefs in the area, full of colorful tropical fishes and incredible sea life. Once you have finished with the beach, you will board your vehicle and head back to the ship's pier.

Depart the pier for the short ferry-ride to the mainland in Playa del Carmen. Upon arrival, board a coach for the scenic, two-hour drive to Chichen Itza, one of the 'Seven Wonders of the World' and an UNESCO World Heritage Site. A massive step-pyramid known as El Castillo dominates this 2.5-square-mile (6.5-square-kilometre) ancient city, which thrived from around 600 A.D. to the 1200s. Graphic stone carvings can be found at the ball court, Temple of the Warriors and Wall of the Skulls.
Chichen Itza Walking Tour

Board your tour boat for the short ride out to the first site. En route, your certified PADI divemaster will provide snorkelling equipment, including a mask, snorkel, fins and a snorkelling vest. A safety briefing will be given and instruction for the beginners. Upon arrival at the first site, your divemaster will guide you through this underwater playground pointing out the unique ocean life.

Depart the pier for the scenic, approximately 30-minute drive to the site of the San Gervasio Mayan Ruins, the sanctuary of Ixchel, Goddess of Fertility and Good Health. Upon arrival, take a guided walking tour through the ruins, and learn about the Mayan culture and its fascinating history.
Your next stop is the Hacienda Tequilera where you'll learn about the process of making tequila and savor a sample of this traditional drink in Mexico.

Cozumel has long been home to the Mayan people, dating back over 1000 years when it was an important stop in the ancient trade routes as well as the center of worship for the Goddess of Fertility, Ixchel. Upon arrival, board a coach for the scenic drive to Tulum, the only walled Mayan city, which is perched on approximately 39-foot-high (about 12-metre-high) cliffs facing the blue Caribbean Sea.
Tulum Mayan Ruins, Temple Visits, El Castillo and Caribbean Sea
Upon arrival in Tulum, begin your guided talking tour of the Tulum Mayan Ruins. As you stroll through this sacred site, see amazing restored temples and some of the mysterious hieroglyphic writings that are still visible today. In addition, visit the Temple of the Frescoes, famous for its detailed statues, carvings and colourful frescoes depicting Mayan motifs, along with the Temple of the Initial Series, Temple of the God of the Wind, and Temple of the Descending God. Following your guided tour of the Tulum Mayan Ruins, proceed for a buffet lunch at a local restaurant on Tulum's beach. There you will also have an opportunity to enjoy the beach and go for a swim in the sea if you wish. After lunch, re-board your coach and head back to Playa del Carmen, then embark a ferry for the short ride to Cozumel. Upon arrival, disembark the boat, re-board your coach and commence the short drive back to the pier.
