Chagulak is a small and uninhabited Aleutian Island formed by a single volcano, reaching a height of over 1050 meters (3474 feet). The conical mountain peak strikes an imposing figure in the southerly reaches of the Bering Sea. The island is a mere 3 kilometers (1.86 miles) wide and while it is dominated by the Chagulak volcanic peak, no eruptions have been recorded in recent history and the volcano’s age is not known precisely.
