The main goal of the project is to protect and increase a value of our history with emphasis on a human factor of the pre-Colombian societies filling up gaps of Peruvians about their ancestors.
Afterwards drive to the hotel at the Sacred Valley where dinner will be provided.

DAY 3 - URUBAMBA / MACHU PICCHU
Enjoy a light breakfast at the hotel this morning. After breakfast, we will continue to the massive fortress of Ollantaytambo. The fortress, a formidable stone structure, was the valley's main defense against the Antis and was the site of the Incas' greatest victory against the Spanish during the wars of conquest. Constructed of rose-colored granite, this huge installation was once a thriving complex of baths, temples and military barracks. Below the fortress lies a complete Incan town, still inhabited with original architecture.
Transfer to Ollantaytambo train station where the Hiram Bingham train awaits. Depart aboard the Hiram Bingham train to Machu Picchu. Your rail journey celebrates the spirit of expedition and perseverance that is the hallmark of the railways of Peru, taking its name from the explorer Hiram Bingham who discovered the 'Lost City of the Incas'. Brunch is served on route.
Upon arrival at the site, commence a guided tour of the marvellous Citadel, then take a stroll through this impressive archaeological site on your own. Explore the famous "Lost City of the Incas" and feel its pulse while visualizing the lives of the priests, craftsmen, and servants who lived in this seemingly incredible site. Excavations have only added to the mystery, revealing the skeletons of 173 people along with artefacts and woollen clothing, though no gold.
Afterward, relax with afternoon tea at the Machu Picchu Sanctuary Lodge, the only hotel located within the very grounds of the Machu Picchu Sanctuary citadel. Dinner is served at the Lodge.
