Glacier boots and rain jackets are provided. The actual flight time is 15 minutes in each direction, with 30 minutes spent on the glacier. Due to weight and balance limitations, as well as guests’ safety and comfort, anyone weighing 250 pounds or more will be charged an additional half-fare to reserve adequate space on the helicopter. The pilot will assign seating based upon the guests’ weight. Participation is limited. Exclusive use of the helicopter is dependent upon tour participation.

Discover miles of snowfields and blue crevasses found on nature’s ‘River of Ice’ during this exciting helicopter tour of the Grewingk Glacier. Depart the pier for the transfer to the Homer Airport. Following a champagne toast and short briefing, your helicopter will take off for an exhilarating flight-seeing tour across Kachemak Bay to the Grewingk Glacier. En route, you can listen to your pilot’s commentary via headsets. Upon landing on the glacier, disembark the helicopter and set foot on virgin snow as you set out to explore the terrain. The flight itself provides spectacular scenery and opportunities for great photographs, whilst the glacier landing offers a rare and memorable experience. Upon returning to the Homer Airport, your awaiting transfer van takes you back to the pier.
