Dr. Glenn Robinson is an expert on Middle East security and political issues. Teaching at the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California, and the Center for Middle East Studies at Berkeley, he has published and lectured widely on Islamic fundamentalism, the Arab-Israeli conflict, and related challenges facing the Middle East. On three occasions he has been recognized for his outstanding teaching, twice by the Naval Postgraduate School and once by Berkeley.
Robinson received his Ph.D. from Berkeley in 1992 and has been teaching at NPS since 1991. He has lived and studied in a number of countries and institutions in the Middle East, including as a Fulbright scholar at the University of Jordan, the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, the American University in Cairo, Yarmouk University in Jordan, and as an exchange student to Iran in 1978. He regularly advises different branches of the US Government.
