Patrick Demus is curious — which is an excellent trait for both a scientist and an explorer. It’s that curiosity that led this Viennese marine biologist to many remote and fascinating destinations across the globe. And it’s his passion for nature and the environment that leave the people he encounters deeply enthusiastic about the topics he shares with them.
During his travels, Patrick’s love of the sea takes him below the waves as not just a researcher, but also as a dive instructor and underwater photographer. Back on dry land in his hometown of Vienna, Patrick educates the public on biology at the Vienna Zoo, sharing his knowledge about the vast animal kingdom. He’s also a self-employed lecturer on marine biology, animal behaviour, and travelling through Southeast Asia and Africa.
