Karolina was born in Poland. At the age of 21, her friends persuaded her to join them during winter vacation in Svalbard. This one winter turned into ten magical years.
During the last ten years she has worked as a guide. First, as a dog-sledging guide for four years. Karolina built her own team of sledging dogs, which she guided on an expedition to the North Pole in 2009.
Since 2008, she has been working as a guide. During winter she offers snow mobile trips, and during summer she takes guests up the mountain tops around Longyearbyen, or simply packs a tent and goes for a two-day trip in the area.
As an active person, she doesn’t often relax! If she’s not guiding, she’s out with her dogs, which takes up most of her free time. She also finds time to pursue other activities such as, skiing or climbing.
