As a globe trotter, Dr. Paul J. Weser has been to over 30 countries by both air and sea. He has served as senior lecturer and coordinator for tours and over a dozen cruises during the past two decades. Most important of all, however, is that he loves to teach, interact with people, and share the wonders of the world with his audience. He thoroughly enjoys the opportunity of lecturing on board ship where the guests will experience the reality of his presentation the next time they are ashore.
Paul has a Ph.D. in geography and has been a Professor of Geography at Scottsdale Community College for 25 years. His areas of expertise include all world regions and environmental geography, with emphasis on global climatic change. He teaches a variety of courses in both physical and human geography, and has lead students on field trips to various parts of the world, most recently to the Mediterranean and North Africa. He is also a frequent lecturer at public forums and professional organizations. In addition, he has conducted research on Alaskan glaciers, the summer monsoon of the Southwest U.S., and is a member of the American Meteorological Society as well as the National Weather Services Arizona Skywarn Network.
