Silversea Makes It Easier For Canadian Travel Retailers To Tap The Luxury Cruise Market

(Ft. Lauderdale, FL -- June 26, 2007) Starting July 1, travel agents throughout Canada will have direct access to Silversea Cruises' reservations and sales teams, making it easier than ever to reserve ultra-luxury cruise vacations for their high-end clients. The move will eliminate the need for agencies to work with an appointed wholesaler, and enhance the company's ability to provide comprehensive sales support and product training to its retail travel partners in Canada.

"We're always looking for ways to better serve the Canadian marketplace," said Marilyn Conroy, Silversea's senior vice president of sales and marketing for the Americas. "Canada is a growing market for us and we want to do everything possible to support this growth and provide a highly personalized relationship with each of our travel partners."

To provide that support, Silversea has a team of regional sales directors and account executives in place to educate and assist each agent that sells its cruises, whether that agent is home-based or in a brick-and-mortar agency. Following is a list of the sales teams and their respective territories:

Western Canada
Regional Sales Director: Karen Rich Motis
Account Executive: Jerry Joliff

Central Canada
Regional Sales Director: Maggie Moran-Holyn
Account Executive: Joan Nehls

Eastern Canada
Regional Sales Director: Norma Spadola
Account Executive: Deborah Rozak

Silversea offers generous commissions and a special two-tiered recognition program for top producing agents, which includes overrides, regionalized training, access to the company's online direct-mail program and real-time online booking engine, plus other incentives. Member agents of travel consortia should contact their respective agency group for complete details of their specific commission structures and partnership programs with Silversea.

To educate Canadian retailers about the unique, all-inclusive luxury of Silversea and how to develop a lucrative luxury clientele to increase profits, the award-winning company is also planning a series of agent training seminars and presentations for this fall. Exact dates and locations will be announced in the coming weeks.

Travel professionals are encouraged to contact the Silversea reservations and sales teams at (800) 722-9955 or (954) 522-2299 or salesinfo@silverseacruises.comfor information and sales support.

Silversea Cruises is recognized as an innovator in the luxury segment, offering guests large-ship amenities aboard four intimate vessels, Silver Cloud, Silver Wind, Silver Shadow, and Silver Whisper, all designed to offer an atmosphere of conviviality and casual elegance.
