Silversea Announces Promotions Of Senior Executives

(Ft. Lauderdale, FL -- March 19, 2007) Ultra-luxury cruise operator Silversea today announced key organizational changes, including the promotion of Marilyn Conroy to senior vice president of sales and marketing for the Americas; Trudy Redfern to senior vice president of sales and marketing and managing director of the U.K. office; Steve Odell to senior vice president of sales and marketing for Asia and the Pacific; and Enrico Origone to senior vice president of sales and marketing for continental Europe. All will report directly to David Morris, Silversea's executive vice president of worldwide sales and marketing. Sergio Dell'Acqua, who continues as vice president of sales and marketing for emerging markets, will also report to Morris.

Over the past few years, Marilyn Conroy has successfully developed and directed Silversea's sales programs in the company's largest market, North America, and more recently, has been instrumental in helping to plan and shape related marketing programs. She will now take on the additional challenge of aggressively penetrating the emerging luxury markets in Latin America, particularly Mexico and Brazil.


Trudy Redfern has played a vital role in ensuring the growth of the U.K. markets and will now oversee the sales and marketing functions for the following regions: U.K., Ireland, and Middle East (including U.A.E., Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Jordan, Egypt, and Lebanon). In addition, she will be in charge of all operational and administrative aspects of the London office.


A few years ago, Steve Odell launched Silversea's tremendous push into the burgeoning Asia and Pacific markets. He will continue to spearhead the company's further expansion into the region from his office in Sydney. This is a critically important component in our global strategy and Odell's valuable leadership skills will be called upon to oversee a major push into Asia which requires his physical presence in the region. Odell will also oversee the operations of a regional sales office in Singapore, while aggressively targeting Japan, Hong Kong, Malaysia, South Korea, Thailand, the Philippines and mainland China.


Under Enrico Origone's leadership, Silversea has seen record sales growth in continental Europe. He will continue to develop strategies and oversee the sales and marketing activities to further penetrate this rapidly growing luxury cruise market.
