Yvette Sencer, Art Historian
A specialist in the history of art and architecture, Dr. Yvette Jayson Sencer was Professor and Chair of Art History and Dean of Graduate Studies at State University of New York’s Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. An animated, popular speaker, passionate about art and teaching, she now presents an annual lecture series at the Boca Raton Museum of Art, and writes and speaks on many periods of art history.
Active in art education worldwide, Dr. Sencer represented North America for InSEA (the International Society for Education through Art), was World Councilor for USSEA (the United States Society for Education through Art), and was President of the University Council for Art Education. She has presented art history courses in Greece, Italy, and Ireland for both private and university groups.
