Dr. Rosanne Martorella, Cultural and Political History Expert
Dr. Rosanne Martorella has been a Professor of Sociology at William Paterson University, and popular speaker. Her lectures focus on the relationship between art and society, detailing the cultural and political history of a country. Photographs and artwork are shown.
Dr. Martorella received her BA from City University of New York, a PhD from the New School for Social Research, and a post-doctorate Fellowship from Princeton University.
The author of several books, Art and Business, Corporate Art, and The Sociology of Opera, her most recent research activities include work on comparative cultures and global migrations. Several articles appear in scholarly journals; her works are quoted worldwide, and she has been invited to speak in Europe, South America, and Asia.
Active in her community, she has served on the Boards of Nyack Hospital, St. Thomas Aquinas College, and the National Organization of Italian American Women. She is a member of the Explorer’s Club in New York City. Several awards in recognition for her community service include the Republic of Italy’s prestigious Cavaliere Medal.
