Harvey Stearn, Photographer and Artist

Harvey Stearn has been a dedicated outdoor photographer and print maker for over 60 years.  His images have won dozens of awards and have been exhibited in galleries, museums, offices and public buildings and are represented in private collections throughout the United States.  They have been published in magazines and have appeared in billboards.  He taught digital photography for ten years including giving special classes to Native American children.

Prior to retiring to Sedona, Arizona in 2002 to fully pursue his photographic art, Mr. Stearn’s business career included the development of Mission Viejo and Aliso Viejo (now cities) in California, and of smaller communities in California and Nevada.  During that 30-year period Mr. Stearn performed extensive public service in developing and promoting the arts in California.  His career and arts activities required him to interface with prominent businessmen, political leaders and artists from all over the world.

Mr. Stearn is an accomplished lecturer and presenter on a number of subjects.  He has traveled extensively in both private and public capacities, which includes all 50 states as well as 30 countries in the Americas, Europe, Asia, Africa and Oceana.  Although known for landscape and wildlife photography, his travel photographs have also received acclaim.
