Tenerife to Lisbon

 

 

Day 1 - April 18, 2010 - Santa Cruz De Tenerife, Canary Islands, Spain

The decision was made by the Captain, the Expedition Leader and the office ashore, to stay one more day in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, to give missing guests a chance to still make it.

Day 2 - April 19, 2010 - Canary Islands, Tenerife, Santa Cruz

After this short photo stop, the excursion led us to the city of Puerto de la Cruz where we visited the Orchid Garden.

Day 3 - April 20, 2010 - Canary Islands, Lanzarote, Arrecife

The Under blue skies we docked at the small volcanic island of Lanzarote in the perfect cool of the morning.

Day 4 - April 21, 2010 - At Sea, En Route To Funchal, Madeira, Portugal

A nice day at sea on our way from the Canary Islands to Madeira, so a nice day to relax a bit after all the activities within the last days.

Day 5 - April 22, 2010 - Madeira Island, Funchal

Going up with the cable car to Monte, the view was just spectacular.

Day 6 - April 23, 2010 - Day At Sea

Today, warm breezes under a bright sun accompanied us on this leisurely relaxing day at sea.

Day 7 - April 24, 2010 - Casablanca, Morocco

Our first stop was the huge mosque, called Hassan II Mosque. It was built between 1987 and 1993 and it is very impressive, by size as by details.

Day 8 - April 25, 2010 - Morocco, Tangier

Just going some steps down from the Kasbah we landed in the middle of the Medina, the old part of Tangier.

Day 9 - April 26, 2010 - Seville, Spain

What a marvelous day we spent in Seville!We began our walking tour in the historic center of town at the Alcazar, a fortress and palace, originally built by the Moors of Andalusia after the conquest.

Day 10 - April 27, 2010 - Portimao, Portugal

For those who were looking for more walking, the other tour was ideal, the “Moorish City of Silves and Monchique”, which my colleagues Nicki and Richard accompanied.
